    Beware of flippers

Their "manifesto" is a must read. I've been following them on and off for years. Good core group of people. http://www.dailyturismo.com/2014/08/the-dt-manifesto.html I also like that they have a cap of $20,000 give or take on any car they write about.

BAT is awesome for sellers of Rovers though!

    Beware of flippers

Fair enough. I think it was the "Beware" thing in the title that set some people (me included) off. 10 years ago I wouldn't suspect anyone to know what BAT was, now though? No excuses. I watch a lot of auctions on there and while no, it isn't too hard to take photos and be available, you'd...

    Beware of flippers

Absolutely! If someone lists something on a classified ad in the back of the newspaper in a town of 30,000 and someone buys it and lists it elsewhere (and writes the ad and takes the photos and works through the process) and makes twice more? Who cares. I've long said I'm putting my D1 up on...

Yep. I'm not really trying to sell it or update the thread much. It's in the garage. If you're interested in it PM me.

    FS: 1996 Discovery - Alpine White / 5 Speed

    I may trade mine for a Bavaria 2800. ;) I used to have a Euro-spec 1970 BMW 2800 E3 sedan (Chassis 2308632) http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/174856-1996-Land-Rover-Discovery

Some photos of the rust prone areas. There's some surface corrosion as with most every vehicle, but you can see there's no rot apparent anywhere.

    2003 Discovery II - 68K Miles -

Good looking Discovery, and good price, too. They're only going up in value.

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

I'm still piddling away on this and other projects - decided to have the windshield replaced myself in case it doesn't sell for what I want out of it. Bonus - took it for a drive today to keep everything lubed up and had a perfect Long Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) of 0.0% - which means for a 178,000...

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

Damnit - rock hit the windshield and it has a crack across the lower half. Tried to stop it from spreading but no dice. Windshield replacement is cheap - and free if you buy it and throw full coverage on it for the drive home - wink wink. Family emergency just came up yesterday so I'll be out...

On mine it’s a worn spring. Unlocks but not enough to release the latch all the way. Turning the key and lifting the handle releases it.

Finally got around to getting the correct seat trim and installing it. Looks good if I do say so myself.

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

Update: I received the new seat trim from the UK, but it was black. I thought about it and then decided it looked cool....but then discovered once my seats were out and torn down that they sent the early seat version, not the later, and it wouldn't fit. So they're re-sending the tan with the LR...

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

I would trade for a great condition 1985 or 1986 Honda ATC 250R or ATC 350X plus some cash. (looking at $5,000 cash plus the trike depending on the condition of the trike. More cash as condition degrades).

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

Unfortunately I already picked up a used Honda Ridgeline, so my trade offer is out (need to update my initial posting). Still waiting on the Exmoor seat covers to come from England and once they're on it will go up for auction. Not going to find many (if any) code-free and rust free early...

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

Given how pristine the top half of the engine was I had to go ahead and clean out the little bit of baked on junk inside the covers, and then paint them red so it goes faster. Also got all 8 new injectors in. I thought about testing each original and only replacing any with a poor spray...

    1996 Land Rover Discovery

It is, current status is I still need to put in the injectors and button it all up. The exmoor trim kit won't arrive until mid-October. I am not putting it up for auction or seriously advertising it until that happens - but if someone really wants it they can buy it and I'll mail the trim kit...
