I have 15x8 -13 offset wheels with 33x12.5r15s. I had this setup on stock suspension and it would only rub under hard compression of the front shocks.
Since I lifted my Montero I haven't had any rubbing issues at all.
I have been keeping up with the news lately with Mitsubishi and their plans in the next several years especially here in the U.S market. They are going to have 2 new vehicles in segments they currently don't compete in the N.A market. The new Delica sounds like its definitely coming to the U.S...
Maybe...but Toyota is currently having its issues with both the Tundra and new Tacoma.
The Tundra new 3.4 i-force turbo v6 (same motor in the new GX) is having alot of failures being reported in the past several months with main bearing failures. Which is leading to a lot of questions on the...
The new Triton/L200 is only available in other world markets. So in their eyes...the steering wheel is on the correct side.
If you read my last post...its a 1 ton class pick up truck so its bigger than a Ridgeline and they are body on frame.
Well it won't be diesel...its going to be either a Plug in Hybrid / Hybrid or EV (or multiple offerings) I am sure with either powertrain they decide it will have pretty good MPG/Range. I would trust Mitsubishis PHEV technology right up there with Toyotas Hybrid system. This is one of the main...
I have read and watched a few videos from Mitsubishis dealer convention last week regarding to this news of their "Momentum 2030" initiative/timeline. What most don't realize Mitsubishi has profited year over fiscal year for the past 10 years and has chipped on some market share. I get that...
The Mitsubishi tool is very hard to find. There was a website that sold specialty tools from OEMS and I was going to order that hub washer tool. Pre COVID it was like $80.....2 years later it shot up to $300.
I was able to source one out from Japan brand new last year. I used the modified...
A few months ago I built a rear table setup for the tailgate door of the Montero for camping and when we hit trails for meal prep and cooking.

I did not get the injectors flow tested or cleaned when I initially did the maintenance when I 1st got it. Its been 7 years since that and I haven't had issues, but I also run fuel system cleaner every oil change (Techron and recently Amsoil P.I.).
I am planning a trip to N.C probably next year...
I bought them through Siberian Bushings USA when they had their distribution center in south florida. Unfortunately during COVID, they decided to close up that location from my last communication with them. I would contact Adventure Driven Design or use Siberian bushings main website to get the...
I swapped my suspension bushing with Siberians about 2 years ago with the exception of my UCA's as they are brand new OEM Mitsubishi UCAs. The ride got considerably smoother and quieter and the Montero felt tighter on road. After 2 years running them they are still performing great and I have...
Beautiful Gen 1.
We saved one that was sitting for 10 years a little over a year ago. I have been gathering parts for it and plan on rebuilding/restoring it this year.
Its been a year since my last post saying I was going to update this thread more often.....i guess I lied. 😅
Last year was a eventful and busy mixed with family stuff and some health issues/scares but it looks like things are settling down. We weren't able to enjoy the outdoors or hit the...
I haven't been on here for a bit. Like probably most of you...Life stuff just happened.
Working my butt off, family things, a personal health scare and just getting healthy again and like alot of people these days....finances are just a bit tighter these days.
I still have the Montero and...
I was able to snag a Jaos half bull bar from a buddy in the Philippines. Not sure if I really need to go full out on a aftermarket "off road" bumper yet, but maybe in the near future I will but for now the stock front end will do.

I haven't posted anything here for a LONG time, been busy enjoying the Montero and well just life as a family man. There has been some progress since the last post of my rig so I am going to try to play catch up where I last left off and try to play catch up.
I did this mod a couple weeks ago...just need to wire them up but waiting to wire them along with whatever decision of brand I want to go with additional light on the upper half of my Montero. I have JDM lights so I wired my backup lights to the actual spot on the JDM taillights for the backup...
