While mine is cheap and works well, check out the thread on f150forum by CM_CUMMIN. His l track setup makes me envious

I also added a couple of purchased items as well (no fab needed by me - for now at least).
Got an RCI front skid via a group buy. I'll eventually buy a more complete setup, but I wanted to protect the intercooler on the 2.7. First had to remove the lower air dam which had the side benefit of...
A user on the Midwest Overlanders facebook group was selling a Molle panel setup that was designed for the back door of a Jeep. Price was right so I bought it and started figuring out how to fabricate a bracket assembly to mount it behind the seat. A little trial and error, a measuring tape...
Here is the shovel / pulaski setup. There is a thread over on F150Forum where someone built an L-track setup using the boxlink setup that I might have to "borrow" from for a future phase 2.
Got the chuck box painted and loaded. Still have to add the cordage or chains to limit the door travel.
Of course, any father son project has to be signed and dated. We signed on my tablet, I printed the images and cut out templates with a razorblade and then we sprayed it.
Can't speak for the OP, but here is my experience for daily driving. I am about 50/50 highway/city, and highway is either 70+mph or stop and go (neither good for mileage). 2.7 liter 4x4 with stock 20x8.5 wheels/32" tires, 1.5" leveling kit, and heavy foot: avg around 20mpg mixed, have seen...
So my dilemma is such - I need to protect my rods and yet keep them easily accessible from the back of my truck. I don't have high end equipment, but it works and I'd rather not replace it.
I have an F150 with 5.5' bed, and have 2 bait casters that will fit long ways and a 6.5' ugly stick...
I also got the check box primed and started painting it. The paint will look better once it's weathered because it's not for show that's for sure. Letting your 7 year old assist does not equal high end furniture
I also got the water jug frame roughly done. . Aluminum angle and flat stock and...
Found a handy little addition from BuiltRight Industries. Behind the back seat is a small area that can be used for storage. However for whatever reason, ford made the latch for the larger portion of the seat this little lever that you can almost touch and barely see. BRI makes a great little...
Maybe you can help anyway [emoji1] . If you get chance, could you please measure from the top of the plastic radiator shroud to the top and bottom of the light bar. . With those measurements I'll know if it fits or not.

It is super easy to move around, it'll either stay in the garage or the basement when not in use. I want to have it easily ready to go if necessary as a possible SHTF scenario as well. Makes it easy to grab everything at once. Probably will never happen, but you know how that goes.
Thanks...
