    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

I believe this only affects the Gen 4 van. Right?

Has anyone installed a front hitch on a 75-91 ford van.

7 years later. Has anyone done this yet? Any out-of-the-box solutions? I read somewhere the rear hitch for Gen4 Econoline will fit the front of the Gen3. I'm doubtful.

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think I figured out the Speedo cable will come from the T-Case. It looks like either using a transfer case that can fit the VSS, or finding a Ford 4wd tail housing that has a port in it for the VSS if I use an early T-Case that won't accommodate the VSS. It...

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

Okay, now lastly. In case anyone wants to see what the Quigley part # Q7CR-0084 looks like: (edit: I have seen this adapter referred to as part# QTTX-891 on a 1997 build sheet. I do not know why I was given the other number and have been told that Quigley calls Q7CR-0084 a 'spline adapter'.)

And lastly; photos comparing the Ford OE 4wd tail housing extension to the Ford OE 2wd tail housing extension.

Here are some more pictures of the Quigley spacer mated behind the short Ford OE 4wd tailhousing on a E4 2wd transmission.

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

I've been getting a few questions, so I'll try to clarify. Here's a picture of a Quigley assembly, currently on eBay for sale. It shows the 2wd E4 transmission with a 4wd tailhousing attached, then the Quigley spacer, then the BW1356 transfer case. Looks like they used a slip yoke rear...

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

Well. I still need everything from the OEM adapter back, except the Quigley spacer is on the way. I don't mind hoarding the spacers, I'm sure they will go OOS someday. But your van probably has the VSS on the rear diff? Mine is early, the early ones are on the trans? And I haven't figured...

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

I don't think so, or I don't understand your choice of words, or something is not right. This Quigley part does not involve changing the output shaft, nor does any adapter fit 'inside' of anything else. It's basically just a 5-1/2" spacer. If you look at the pictures I posted, circled in...

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

The spline count on the E4OD is 31, same as C6 and 4R100. So it's common among their many tcases. A Borg Warner 1356 / 1756, NV271 or even the old NP205 and others will fit. I can certainly see using a 4WD trans if building from scratch, or if you have a big shop full of big guys and big...

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

you would think. But so far, nothing on Pirate. And since there is a big van following here, you'd think I'd get something. But no. Nothing.

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

I am as far as geographically possible in the continental US. And I don't want to pull my tranny for no good reason. And the diesel trans wouldn't mate to my 351. But thanks.

    E4OD 2wd adapter to T-case

Can anyone speak to this adapter? I have been told Pathfinder and Quigley used the stock 2WD transmissions and used adapters to mount the t-cases. Instead of swapping to 4WD transmissions. My parts Quadravan has a C6, and it has a long cast adapter in place of the the long tail housing. But...

    Older Quigley/Pathfinder conversions- transmissions?

Anyone know what Quigley did for transmissions in their van conversions? Did they swap in 4x4 transmissions, convert them to a 4x4 trans by changing the main shaft and tail housing, or did they use the stock 2WD transmission with an adapter? That's what I've been told they did. And I have a...

DIY Third Gen Ford Van 4x4 Conversion Questions

I wish I knew more details about swapping a D60 and coils from a '05 and later Superduty pickup. I think that would be a great way to go. I picked up a Quadravan so I can use the brackets, radius arms and the custom length HD D44. You can also google up the Solid Axle Swaps people do on...

Pre '92 Ford 4x4 conversion kit

Resurrecting my old post, just because. I bought a Gen 3 E250 Class B van last year. 80k miles, fully self contained in good shape for $3500. Decided the easiest / best way forward for me was using Quadravan parts. I'm picking up a complete non runner this weekend for $1000. It's the...
