Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

This is also certainly true, even though I really appreciate the amount of swappable parts on my Gladiator with the Wrangler, they did compromise a some on cooling through the grill for the truck. They increased the JL's grill from the JK with the Gladiator/JT in mind, but I'm sure they would've...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

This is certainly a benefit owning a Gladiator, takes a lot of parts from the JL Wrangler, pretty much anything from the rear doors forward. Gave me confidence buying a 1st model vehicle, in case Stellantis cancelled the truck. Aftermarket support for my low volume Gladiator is significantly...

    Paralysis by analysis on purchase

That's certainly most of it. I was surprised the high package Tremor was still close to 1500 lbs with metal bumpers, more skids, steps and some beefier underpinnings than a Lariat which is generally close to the same payload with similar creature comforts. The weird foldout door/tailgate on the...

    Paralysis by analysis on purchase

This is also why we're seriously looking at a 250/2500+, I can make a light enough build for a 1500/150, I did for my Gladiator, but getting a 2500+ gives us the option to change our minds later and just get a slide-in or a different slide-in. Which even lightweight ones will put you at 2K lbs...

    Paralysis by analysis on purchase

I feel you, my wife and I are contemplating a larger build and test drove a 2500 Ram Rebel gasser yesterday and am scheduled to drive a F150 Tremor 5.0 402a this weekend. I currently have a Gladiator Rubicon, and have had Tacos, older F150s, etc. Personally, the Rebel rode great, we took it...

    Peak Performance Campers

These look very intriguing, I especially appreciate the attachment points throughout to add build outs later, and of course the light weight. I saw one diagram of a flatbed build on your site, is this in the works?

Ovrlnd Camper on F350 CCLB - Overkill?

A big part of why I went with OVRLND and still love it, is the amount of customization they will do on order. You can really get something built to purpose, I've only seen Topo come close. I did Tern windows in my hatches, which along with my DIY insulation have been great for our winter usage...

OVRLND CAMPERS ONLY : Post your OVRLND Camper build here or a link to your build thread to inspire others!

My C rated Falken AT3Ws have handled my Gladiator Rubicon's weight and camping load out fine, and that's over some good rocks/trips etc. I have about 35K miles on them with the camper. For a mid-size the Gladiators are fairly heavy for a mid-size (5K-5.4K lbs). Usually where I feel the...

    2021 F-150 Tremor + Aterra ATP Topper - $73k

Very nice looking setup, is the truck the 3.5 or 5.0 engine?

We use Farm Bureau and haven't had any problem insuring our OVRLND at agreed value, even in our ever growing/expensive area we haven't experienced noticeable price creep with them. Only downside is they're kind of old school and like to bury us under tons of paper instead of digital docs.

Insuring a truck with custom tray bed

I'll second Farm Bureau, I haven't done a tray, but several other agreed value items through them like custom camper setups.

Well, Apparently You Jeep Owners Are Pretty Bad Drivers! 🤣

Wait, the YJs? I mean I do question your sanity wanting a vehicle with front leaf springs vs my "cushy" TJ coils...

    MaxxAir Fan problems and solutions

I've been pretty happy with my Maxxfan in my OVRLND, it creates good airflow for us, enough on the outtake to feel a breeze from our six windows. However, after 2ish years I got a chirp of death. Not sure what happened, but on a trip it started running for 3-4s and then just chirping. It's...

OVRLND CAMPERS ONLY : Post your OVRLND Camper build here or a link to your build thread to inspire others!

Thanks! That's very helpful. I'll have to think through where to add reinforcements more. I have a window in each 50/50 door for a narrow Gladiator bed. Not as much space to add more reinforcement, but possibly doing short 8020 pieces on the inside above and below the windows. The VHB is a good...

Question, for those of you mounting tracks (L, 8020, etc) to the outside to carry heavier stuff like fuel, are you rivnutting the tracks onto the underlying studs or through-bolting? I rivnutted some interior L-track and it seems ultra solid, but haven't done this much and those tracks aren't...

Yep, mine got the chirp of death last summer (~2 years old), and won't reset. Just getting to debugging it now things are warming up again in MT, but I think it's the control board. There's some aftermarket replacements that come with a regulator. I was a little surprised since it is only being...

2018 Specialized Fuse XXL custom build, Columbus, OH 43228, only for the big guys....

That'd be an excellent bikepacking bike for someone 6" taller than me, very nice build with the I9 wheels/hubs and 27.5+, GLWS!
