Yes, The 29' includes the rear boxes and front bumper. That's one of the advantages of the cabover setup. You can get a good sized living area while keeping the overall vehicle length down.
David - The length is 29’. My typical interstate speed is around 65 but it can do more. As far as maintaining speeds on grades, it depends on the pitch. On the interstate for example, I can usually maintain cruising speed if the grade is gradual and I stay on it. On steeper grades it does slow...
Ditto here for what both Greg and Daurie mentioned. I have a 20’ version of the Patagonia and actually weighed it out of curiosity. It came in at 27,400 fully loaded with fuel, water and our winter gear. It has the storage boxes on the rear, 7 solar panels on the roof, cab roof rack and...
Same here. Ours (#4) does not have the garage either. We do have a storage area that is about 50" x 30" and runs along the back. Glad to hear you've locked in the the pick up date Greg.
Nice. Great to have the flexibility it offers. We were originally hoping to have ours before the expo and planned to attend but I don't think we'll have it in time.
Yeah, I lost the battle on the 2' storage in the rear. I liked the idea of having a tall area to store larger items. Provides much more flexibility.
I noticed the storage compartments just below the bed. That's a good idea.
It's pretty similar to yours.
- Patagonia model
- 20' cabin but the bed is all the way against the rear wall. Same north-south orientation as yours.
- Two 100 gallon fuel tanks
- I maxed out the solar panels to 7 for 1.4kw. Probably overkill but plan to do a lot of off grid camping.
- Upgraded...
Greg - Was down at GXV Friday and got a look at your vehicle while finalizing my build specs (Kenworth #4 I believe). Looks like it's coming together well and really looks great.
Was helpful see one up close. Awesome rig for sure.
I had a chance to look at this Earthroamer before deciding to have a different make custom built from the ground up based on our circumstances. In fact, my wife and I were actually on the verge of making an offer to Bill at one point.
As we viewed the vehicle it quickly became apparent that...
Thanks Gregmchugh. I appreciate the info and will check out those video's. It does seem as though it would pretty comfortable but not having the opportunity to drive one yet I wasn't sure. Was thinking of driving one at a dealership however it would not be loaded down with weight so that may not...
Hey folks - New to the forum here. My wife and I were just at GXV yesterday spec'ing out a similar model and believe we saw both of yours in progress. While they were both at different stages we were able to get a good idea of how they will look and they are really nice. Very well built in my...
Nice looking rig. My wife and I are planning to travel for extended periods very soon and are determining what vehicle we'll go with. Would like to take a look at your Earthroamer and we actually live in the Burlington area. I sent you a PM with my contact info. We are available most of this...
