I'll kick in a mod I've done.
Some nights when the breeze is still or maybe its just a bit warmer than I'd like, it would be nice to have a fan blowing.
Thanks to Amazon and $23 bucks I had in my pocket:

I had previously wired my James Baroud Evasion with a USB hub, so I had power...
+1 to Dan’s recommendation. I’ve done almost the same setup in my Gladiator. Only major difference is that I mounted my battery and supporting electronics to a panel in my bed (inside of my Alu-Cab canopy).

@pdxfrogdog
Well...it's not a specifically made product for the cab but works as if it was. It's this:

Sorry, I ithought I had install pics but apparently not. Anyhoo...before I purchased it, I reasoned...
First of all....THANKS!!!
For the shackle points, an outfit in Montreal called Frog Fab (https://frogfab.myshopify.com/en-us) was actually making them:
I had to remove the bumper and grind off the crush cans in order to bolt them to the end of the frame rails. I then modified the plastic...
Hello all!
It's been a few years since I posted a pic of my JKUR. In the last year or so, I've been working on the overland build of my Gladiator. I figured I'd post up some pics of my final-ish rig.
I started with a 2" Stage 6 Icon lift on 37" Toyo Open Country R/Ts (pictured were the...
Yeah, it doesn't help that the stock ball joints that they put in the Wranglers and Gladiators are made of plastic. They won't last as long as they should and they can quickly be the catalyst.
Well, I am not as crafty as most that I have seen here. My setup is made by Overland Kitchen and has served me well. The spot where I have the cooler is made for a fridge (I'm just partial to ice when I am camping). The top right drawer holds my air up/down rig, tire patch kit, FAK and other...
So...I don't disagree with you; just remember 2 things a) the sample size and b) this IS a thread about problems with the JB tent.
a) There are several posts about problems and also several saying their problem was resolved...out of how many tents sold worldwide. Granted, not everyone with a...
I suspect that they advertise it as having only two doors because the assumption is that it will be mounted on the roof of a vehicle and access will generally only be from the sides. Additionally, their product descripions are very similar which makes me believe some marketing guy just did a...
Why would you cross Baroud off your list because one person has cracks in the gel coat? That seems a bit hasty. You must not have ever owned anything that had to be fixed under warranty before?
As a counter point, I have had my JB Evasion for well over a year and, while that isn't a long...
BTW, I thought this is a great thread idea. I know folks tend to have build threads but unfortunately I don't always have the patience to go through them; but to see a before and after is pretty cool.
I'll be your huckleberry:
Just drove it home:
About a year later when I lifted it, added 35's, new wheels, etc.
After roof rack, tent snorkel and trail kitchen:
New to the forum here. Thanks for having me.
Here's some pics of my 2016 JKUR. My overlanding build includes a James Baroud Evasion RTT and an Overland Kitchen setup in the cargo area, AEV Snorkel/Pre-Filter, AEV 2.5" DualSport XT lift and 35" Toyo Open Country R/T's. Lots of other things...
I run the AEV Snorkel and Pre-Filter on my JKUR and as others have said it is for dust control. Running trails in the Arizona desert is dusty business. I am typically the lead vehicle for the group I run with or I am solo and while I am not plowing through someone else's dust cloud, if the...
