    ranger build

Amazing. Absolutely loving the build direction. I have this massive love for the simple builds, but have come to the conclusion that they don't work for me, even though I'd really like them to.

    ranger build

Man I wish mine was white... and an access cab. Is this the Ranger Basil's Garage keeps posting about? I assume so, because if not, you have a twin ;)

Overland Racks Ontario, elite series aluminum, with the tri-fold brackets. It was and is an excellent rack.

    Canopy Camper cap/tents

Just picked up a used Alu Cab Canopy Camper from a friend last week. It currently definitely leaks into the bed (EDIT: The TRUCK bed, not the sleeping bed) a bunch, but that's just a sealing issue, and it will take some time to track down and seal all the ingress points. From what I hear, this...

Big changes for the Ranger. Old: New: Oh, and I got 19 MPG on the way home from New Jersey to Ontario Canada, which was shockingly good.

2024 Land Cruiser in the USA?

Direct conversion is not how car sales work in Canada. I did not just pull the estimated price out of my ********. The 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road Premium is ~55k USD, and is ~61k CAD. Its the most direct comparison I have. It starts to get weird when you look at the GX550 prices though, which are...

Argento - The Overland Ranger Build

I'm a bit biased, but I love it. Gotta be getting heavy though, especially with the RSI. Any idea where you are in proximity to GVWR?

Lexus GX550 Overtrail vs. Grenadier or new Toyota Land Cruiser?

I'm sure its differences in testing methodology, but I'll admit I was a little surprised by the delta. I'd say the real question is, which proves to be more accurate in daily driving? I'm leaning toward the EPA, but I'd be happy to be wrong.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

FWIW, my 2 year old Ranger is in the shop as we speak getting a new drive shaft due to the infamous bearing issue within a certain build bracket on these trucks. So far my Wrangler was more reliable and solidly built than this vehicle.

2024 Land Cruiser in the USA?

On the plus side, the rumoured payload here would easily allow for an aux tank, if packaging allows.

2024 Land Cruiser in the USA?

If the payload of the fully loaded model really is close to 1700 lbs, that's a big deal. Awesome numbers. I did my range calc using the combined, then removed 40km because no one is running dry.

2024 Land Cruiser in the USA?

So around a 600km working range stock, empty, before off road tires. No payload numbers I can find anywhere. The off road angles/clearances are Subaru numbers. Canada hasn't had a Land Cruiser since 1989, so I'm pretty sure these will be flying off the lot if they start low 60s CAD. Though...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

GM is issuing a stop sale of Colorado/Canyon due to software issues. This is the same company that wants to remove Apple carplay and Android auto in favour of their own homebrewed approach, because its "better for the customer"

    2020 Ford Ranger questions

We enjoy ours, with some caveats. Primary upsides: - Great drivetrain - Excellent payload (even in Tremor spec). - Pretty great available tech (adaptive cruise, lane keep, auto wipers/high beams, sound system, headlights, etc) If you're not a fan of the tech, scratch this. - Perfect size for...

    Correct as usual.

I agree with his points on price, and off road accessories, mostly. Everything else felt a bit "old man yells at cloud". There are a couple obvious reasons from a business perspective for some of the things he thinks are ridiculous, which zimm covered. Now, as a consumer, do I like those...
