Good point! I have been thinking more in terms of getting up the grades but what goes up must come down and an engine brake is hard to beat.

Yep, and you’re right it would be very easy to be over 7000 with extra fuel and water. The tough thing with the Gladiator is the rear Dana 44 is not all that robust and most of that additional weight falls on it.

I have been driving Jeeps since the 60s, CJs,Tjs,Ljs,Jls and now a Gladiator. It’s the best of the lot and by far the most versatile for my uses.
