Thanks for all of the great input. I ran anF350/v-10 for over a decade and I still remember doing 40 miles per hour on the climbs at 4000 rpm’s and it wasn’t relaxing. I love my current truck and the Cummings but it is at its max load capacity with my setup and I would like a little more safety...
I am looking at moving from my 2018 3500 DCSB with a Cummins 6.7 to a 2023 350 dually crew cab with a Hemi. I will be using it to carry a Northern Lite 8-11 while flat towing my Jeep Gladiator. My Cummings handles this load effortlessly, any experience in how well the Hemi would handle this...
Thanks for the great information. I currently am running a 2018 CCSB 3500 diesel with a Northern Lite 8-11 camper. The truck sits at 7700 pounds and with the camper and a full load of gear we push into the 12,000 pound range. This truck would work great with my camper but it really depends on...
Do you know what the GVWR and the current weight of the truck is. Trying to get an idea of load capacity. Also do you know who built the bed and what it’s rated to carry. Thanks
Yep, and you’re right it would be very easy to be over 7000 with extra fuel and water. The tough thing with the Gladiator is the rear Dana 44 is not all that robust and most of that additional weight falls on it.
Can you tell me what the GVWR and the max cargo capacity is on your truck. Am looking for something that can also do double duty hauling my Northern Light camper.
Those guys aren’t afraid of the GVWR police! That GS and carrier has to be over 700 pounds. I have been trying out a new angle for the Gladiator that seems to be working well. It weighs 75 pound has a 1000 watt motor front and rear and two battery’s for 80 miles of range. Working out how to keep...
Thanks for your reply, my wife is really happy with the big truck and camper and was lukewarm to the idea of getting a significantly smaller one. We have the Gladiator that can do it all but is very basic when it comes to multi month trips like we just finished. I think that they are about as...
I really like the way you have set up your truck and camper. I have a 2018 3500 crew cab short box tradesman with a Cummings. My Northern Lite camper and all of our gear for extended trips puts us close to our 4000 pound gvwr and relegates us to mainly maintained gravel roads. I am curious if...
Great to see that all your great work is done and now The fun begins. Gladiators are such a great platform and your design let’s them be used to maximum as a camper. Enjoy
