Sweet set up with that Bowen. Is it higher than your stock bed height? My application would be for a truck camper. I don't really want it any higher raising the center of gravity.
I've gone down a few narrow trails with overhanging branches. What I have noticed is most likely because of the popularity of Sprinter Vans a lot of the cutting has been done in advance.
That being said a spotter is helpful. I plan to invest in an electric/ battery operated pole saw just in...
I moved on from a trailer, though not an off road type trailer and went with a truck camper. For my wife and I it's been a game changer. The rear overhang is minimal, height is the only limiting factor. I can park it in the same places I could park my truck.
Biggest thing for us is that it's...
I ordered the Big Wig. It should be here this coming week. For the most part I don't have an "issue" with the way it handles, BUT I believe in an emergency avoidance situation the sway may prove to be detrimental. This is my main concern. Thanks for all the input.
Hey guys I have been contemplating a rear sway bar for my 2018 Ram 3500 SRW Cummins. I have air bags and lower Stable Loads. I'd like to corner a little flatter and eliminate the some of the rocking when approaching transitions at angle.
I am considering the Hellwig Big Wig. Roadmaster does...
Yes the 200 ah and 200 watts of solar have been enough to run my system without issue. So much so that I am yet to run the cables for my DC/DC charge controller. I recently installed a 1000 watt inverter so my wife can occasionally use the microwave. I nuked my coffee for 1 minute and the ah...
I own a Northstar Liberty optioned with the 12v compressor fridge which was like a $125 option. Well worth it, very efficient. I run 200 amp hours of Lithium and have 200 watts of solar on the roof. It does fantastic.
They have worked well, however the tip of one snapped off. Basically the first 4 inches of one snapped while in Death Valley. The first 4 inches of the leveler does not present and issue. I see different ones out there now. I have the Anderson's. In principal they make it super easy to get...
Thanks. Just to clarify the stable loads are the bottom one's that rotate into place. I originally had them mounted on my F150. Luckily they mounted right up to my 3500. I like the that they engage the very bottom overload spring. Deavers would be great and definitely an option for the future.
Did a 5 day trip with some friends to DV. I've been to DV numerous times through the years, though first time with the truck camper and it did very well. A LOT of washboard and pseudo technical roads coming in from the North of the park at Eureka Dunes. Suspension handles the load and was not...
Thanks for the advice. My wife mentioned sleeping the other direction which at the very least would stop water droplets from landing on our faces. We may try that next time out.
The characteristics of the diesel heater you describe sound perfect. The consistent heat and no cycling on and off...
I am very interested in the prospect of a diesel heater in my Liberty. I have noticed quite a bit condensation build up at the emergency exit vent above the bed in 40 degree weather with the heater running. I did not opt for the Heki vent (sp?) I just have the standard escape hatch. Sleeping in...
