The rails are 72" wide, and the trailer is outfitted to accept a tent 96" long, opened front to back. I want to find a RTT that is wider, but does NOT have the vestibule and annex that typically come with the larger tents.
I this k the dimensions are the key as well as the deletion of the vestibule hood over the doors.
Ultimately, I think the CVT or Tepui will work if the Tuff Stuff Elite Overland has it's the vestibule as a permanent part of the tent vs. being removable. Also, it's pretty key for me to be able to...
While I wait to hear about specifics on the TuffStuff Elite Overland (separate post) I thought I would reach out to get some ideas on 4-person sized RTT's.
Specifically, I'm looking for one that has around 72" to 80" width. Also, and pretty key point, I need one WITHOUT the extended vestibule...
Hello all.
My wife and I have a TS Delta Overland currently, and absolutely LOVE it. It has been a delightful purchase...with one exception...we wish it were bigger(wider). For just the wife and me it's perfect. But we adventure with a 70# dog the tends to sleep DIAGONALLY at a 45* angle to...

In that vein, I had always intended to buy a RTT and camp...
Mr. Crusher!
Take us out of "mundane" speed and engage locked differential drive.....make it so!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Yes, I totally agree. The pickups were, while very light in comparison, very good off-road vehicles. Contrary to most I normally just used them stock, or very close to...
Late In getting to this party, but....
First, I have been a long time Toyota pickup driver. All 22r, early/mid 80's. All 4wd.
Some we're modded when I got them, some bone stock. Seemed to me, the stockers always felt more ... I don't know...happy(?) As it turned out, any p/u I got that had...
Here she is in all her de-flared and de-running board glory.
My first Land Cruiser.
1994, 230+k on the clock, unlocked, poverty package, and a very proud, yet skittish new owner.
Such a great ride. Can not WAIT to get her baselined and start dialing her in for some "Glamping" if we can get...
