The "off road" trailer industry has gone nuts. After the Moby 1 debacle people still seem shocked that a couple people with great fabrication skills can't manage a business and they wind up losing a boat load of money.

Wait it out. Now that people have bought up everything with their stimulus checks and it has become very profitable to stay home rather then go back to work, there is a shortage of everything. This can't last forever or the country will implode. I'm guessing the market will soon be flooded...
Composite materials would have a tremendous benefit over wood especially here in South Texas. Composite materials are impervious to rotting, humidity, and salty marine environments. I'm not sure where you live in Texas but most trailer manufacturers build these trailers for a customer base...
