According to the tow capacity charts that Ford Publishes, this setup (148"WB, 4x4, 7.3l, 4.30 axle) is capable of 14k lbs with a weight carrying hitch and 15k with weight distribution.     @forty below Beaverton, OR. I honestly never drive it around town, on the highway it can get 16-17 if you don't drive overly fast. It's clearly pushing a lot of air and not very aerodynamic. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Cheers, Keith
