3rd Gen Tacoma with MITS Alloy Tray

An update on this build. A lot has changed since the last photo's were taken. The half canopy and stubby sideboards have finally been installed, and looks great! The drivers side has a drawer with a slide out table, and the passenger side will house an upright Dometic 80L fridge. Oh, and it...

    2021 Ram 3500 Aussie Style

The X-AT's are great. They are very quiet, and perform well on the rocks, and in the dunes. We haven't had them out in the mud or snow yet though, so no feedback there. We were at Expo PNW, and will be at Expo Mountain next month!

    2021 Ram 3500 Aussie Style

I just wanted to show off our latest shop rig here at Mule Expedition Outfitters. It's a 2021 Ram 3500 Tradesman Single Cab Long Bed with the 6.4 Hemi. If any of you have seen the Baja Runner you know we dig single cabs. This truck has been outfitted with a 3" AEV suspension, with King shocks...

    2500HD: Tray and Canopy

Dogtown Bill, where are you located? I work for Mule Expedition Outfitters and we are the importers for the MITS Alloy trays an canopies. Our trays start around $15k with black powder coat. There are MITS dealers across the US, and maybe there is one close to you...

3rd Gen Tacoma with MITS Alloy Tray

We just installed a MITS tray on my friends Tacoma Saturday, and I have to say it looks so good! He's going from a bed with an Alu-Cab canopy, and tent to the MITS tray and their 3' canopy when it arrives in June.

Anyone regret adding a UTE Tray and Canopy on their Truck? Longevity? Looking at Norweld Tray and canopy

The Super Duty frame was updated in 2017 so anything older than that may be subject to a flimsy frame? American full size trucks are becoming more common in Australia and most major manufacturers have installed trays and canopies on Ford, Ram, and GM trucks. I would say that the Aussies use...

Anyone regret adding a UTE Tray and Canopy on their Truck? Longevity? Looking at Norweld Tray and canopy

I didn't have a tree fall across my bed luckily, and it's a black truck. As far as something breaking due to torsional flex (I am not an expert here) I don't think it's typically the tray. If the tray is not designed properly, and is too rigid it could potentially crack the frame, or mounts...

Anyone regret adding a UTE Tray and Canopy on their Truck? Longevity? Looking at Norweld Tray and canopy

I think both brands are great products, and I previously had a Norweld setup on my Tundra. The MITS is a little lighter, it uses vehicle specific mounts, and MITS offers factory powder coating. I also like the sleeker design of the MITS. The price point is a lot better with the MITS as well...

Anyone regret adding a UTE Tray and Canopy on their Truck? Longevity? Looking at Norweld Tray and canopy

I love my MITS Alloy tray and canopy setup. Even just having the tray is a game changer as far as having more capacity and ease of access to your load. The canopy is amazing, and the cool thing about MITS is the modular design, so you can add drawers, shelves, etc or remove them.

    5.29 w/35s, 1st Gen Tundra

4.88's and 35's are perfect. I think my speedo is off about 10% but the rpms when I am doing "70-75" is around 2200-2300. Off road I sometimes wish I had gone 5.29's but overall it's one of the best upgrades I have done.
