I've got the basic fabtech coilovers in my 1st gen, not the dirt logic ones, I have no issues with them, they are leaking, but the PO said he put the lift kit on back in 05/06 and he bought the truck new in 04 so they have almost the full 430 000 km on them, but they are still functioning normally.
considering I already have those maybe I should look into after market arms, thankfully my tires are wearing evenly so far, I suggested the ACdelco stuff mostly because they are the GM OEM, and therefore can't be that bad right? well that what my train of though was anyways.
hmm, never head of SPC, but two people have mentioned them now, guess I'll look into it. I've heard the same thing when people talk about after market ball joints, but not the bushings, I suppose I'll have to do more research on that too.
I remember from my more active jeep days that a lot of...
I'm thinking of just getting new control arms that already have bushings in them, I'm planning on ordering from rockauto, any recommendations on Moog VS ACdelco for upper and lower control arms.
I'm going to get OEM toyota for the balljoints
I'm also going to replace the bushings on the...
So I've picked up this rack from the junkyard,
Here is what it looks like sitting on the topper.
There is a little gap on the inside of the rails.
So I'll probably end up making a little shim or something to fill the gap, but what I'm wondering is how the rest of you mounted a rack to...
A V8 tundra was the first V8 I ever drove, and it took a few years before I got my own, still as awesome as younger me remembered. I kind of miss the simplicity of my old dodge 318, but my Toyota 4.7 is better in just about every other way :)
Mine was a (I think) a 2barrel 318 with a 3 speed auto. The driver side electric window worked for about 1-2 weeks. After that I was able to open it by just pulling it down. And it hated being up in the mountains, whatever horses it had left all developed sudden onset asthma up there.
So the roll-n-lock on Texas truck has had issue ever since day one, as I stated in a previous post I took it in to have it looked at, and the quote to fix it was almost as much as just getting a new one. So I pasted on that. Ever since joining this forum last year I've been considering making...
attempt 2 at part 3
here's the last pics from my trip to the mountains.
the rest of 2019 was fairly uneventful, other then a few day trips here and there. once again no pictures, so here's one of my ferrets instead.
however my friends and I did get out to the mountains in November...
I do miss rammy a bit, especially the couch of a front seat but the tundra was to good to pass up, and I didn't need a 3rd vehicle, so the Ramchager ended up drawing the short straw. Also definitely AB, good eye.
Part 2 of mine intro post as I hit the picture limit on my previous post, starting with more Moab.
Just after I took this picture I ended up in a teetering 3 wheel position where I taught I was stuck.... turns out I was only in 2wd, putting it in 4wd solved that problem fast.
It's...
March of 2019 I changed my camping rig from a 2wd 1985 Ramcharger to 2004 4wd Tundra.
Here is a picture of the old truck
here's a link to the beginning of the Ramcharger story https://comancheclub.com/topic/53878-the-100-ram-charger-plus-ferrets/#comments
Here's a picture from last year...
