    Paralysis by analysis on purchase

https://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/the-ramper-2023-ram-2500-laramie-with-four-wheel-camper-project-m.247951/ This posting meets all your requirements except gas…. I’d argue this would be a hell of a truck compared to anything you’re looking at already built out suspension, bumpers...

ThAir Camper new drop stitch "hard" side full truck camper discussion thread.

Spoke to the owner the today and it looks like they launched an updated website and added a “slim” version (coming this summer) that will fit Tacomas, Canyons, Rangers and other midsized trucks. As a reformed Tacoma owner this was music to my ears, today’s half tons can handle some lighter...

ThAir Camper new drop stitch "hard" side full truck camper discussion thread.

Hahaha. Yeah there’s definitely no magic bullet that can do it all. I LOVE my Supertramp because it basically has 360 windows all around the top, but in all honestly we are outside the camper much more than inside and when we are inside going to bed we black it all out anyway. Just looked at...

    Cache Camper Fishhook

Exciting! Congratulations on your new camper! I will offer only one piece of advice if you will allow me. So I ordered an F350 Tremor and a Supertramp Flagship LT at the same time to go together. The way I spec’d my F350 was for maximum payload, ended up with 4214lbs of available legal...

ThAir Camper new drop stitch "hard" side full truck camper discussion thread.

First off a picture is worth 1000 words so... Now that people can picture what I'm talking about I will give my thoughts. First off another member posted a link to this company on a separate thread as a camper worth taking a look at. Since I'm a total nerd for new tech I immediately...

    Good time for used EarthRoamer

I have thought the same thing for years and yet here we are. I have largest portfolio I’ve ever had. I doubt the bubble will last, they never do, but we’re still charging forward. I guess the real problem we’ve seen with the over printing of money the past couple decades is the dollar has...

    Good time for used EarthRoamer

$500k does open up a lot of options in the new vehicle market. I know you mentioned pre Covid builds, and I get that rationale however I don’t know if it really matters. I have two 2023 Trucks right now and both are flawless, that in theory was built at the height of the wackiness. $500k...

Are there dealers with models actually on lot somewhere?

Well, I just met with the owner of ThAir Campers, he invited me to his home, treated me so very kindly and took more than an hour of his time showing me the prototype, as well as images and renderings of the finalized product. I will start a seperate thread on the subject so I don’t jam up the...

F450 Custom Composite Expedition Truck - ALL THE DETAILS

OP I would definitely look into a heat recovery vent system if I were building a composite camper. Condensation can be a huge problem and a roof vent lets all the heat escape. Heat exchangers that allow you to recover the heat rather than simply draw in cold air can make a huge difference...

Are there dealers with models actually on lot somewhere?

Ok, maybe I’ll take this one on for you all. I had no idea this company even existed but it’s like an hour from my house. I sent them and email to see if I could check it out. I have a Supertramp on my F350 Tremor but it never goes out in NY salt during the winter so I’ve long been...

    F 250 Tremor = F 350 rear axle?

Yes the F250 Tremor is different from the standard F250 but the F350 and F250 in Tremor trim are nearly identical. That said I got the F350 for the higher door sticker since more legal payload is what I was looking for. My truck, as configured, has a Payload of 4214lbs which is respectable for...

Any Fly Fishing / Overland Addicts

ohhhhh. Yeah…. Half the reason for any of my overlanding adventures are centered around fly fishing for trout. If money was no object and I didn’t have to report to work most everyday of my life I would travel the country flyfishing lol. Western Native Trout Challenge is at the very top of...

    F 250 Tremor = F 350 rear axle?

lol true that. I started with the same handle on Tremor forum but someone suggested I change it when they saw my camper so…

    WTB Supertramp LT

If you’re still interested I looked through the advertisement and it at least has $4000 in batteries and $1500 into an inverter listed. FWIW my ST purchased in 2023 was $85k with tax so going off base price isn’t realistic. You should at least request the build sheet. To see what was optioned.

    Hard side decisions

I can’t speak to the Hardside ST but my LT is freaking amazing, the company as well as the owners are fantastic. Quality on a ST was the deciding factor for us. It seemed head and shoulders above any competitors we looked at. I think you’ll be very happy with your decision. We have zero regrets.

    Alu Cab Khaya

Full transparency I am sure I was over GVWR but at the time it wasn’t something I was really paying attention to. It seemed all Tacomas setup had the same problem. I never weighed the truck or truck/ camper combo and tbh I can’t remember what the door sticker said allowable payload was. It...

    Alu Cab Khaya

I rocked one for a few years on a DCOR TACOMA and to be honest we freaking loved it. Super well built comfortable, heater was amazing all and all it was a great camper. I sold it to a member on here, truck and all, whose screen name I can’t recall or I’d tag him. He’s is adventuring all...

    F350 Tremor/ Supertramp “TRAMPER’s” build thread.

4.30 gears on my stock Tremor. No issues at all running 37’s, the 10 speed really does a nice job keeping the truck in the right RPM range. My only advice would be to not over think it. My truck has a GVWR of 11,500 lbs. that gives me over 4200 lbs of payload. Even fully loaded I’m...
