Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Yes it is self-inflating with one valve for inflating and another for deflating. It also comes with a clever little hand pump made of fabric to top it off if you want. Open the tent, open the inflate valve, finish setting up camp, and it will be done when you are ready. I have had all manner of...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

We use the Megamat Duo 10 LW plus a 2" Big Agnes Hinman pad and on top is a Big Agnes Dream Island 15 doublewide sleeping bag. If it's really cold a down comforter on top of that. Open the valves on the pads and the lid closes on all that stuff.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I made shelves from thin plywood. They live under the sleeping pad and deploy on either side when the tent goes up. I leave the headboard up at night for easy ingress/egress and still have a place to hold nightstand items.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I'm jumping on the backup camera thread. My camera is mounted under the door and the bike rack blocks my view. Is there an extension cable that would allow me to relocate the backup camera?

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Hi hzszka: I needed a front camera for hazard spotting and line picking. This was cheap but works well. The camera is discrete, solar powered and water/bombproof. The screen mounts to the inside of the windshield and plugs into the 12v socket. No wires and does the job. It's not as good/detailed...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Hello Friends: I just mounted a Road Shower to the load bars of my CC. It weighs 84 lbs. full of water. It is mounted near the front so the shower nozzle is over the shower curtain frame, but that weight makes it much harder to lift the roof for tent deployment. The shower has a side mount...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Anybody have issues with the table legs? When it is in the bracket, the legs fall and tap the roof of my truck. How did you fix it? Thanks,

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

hand saw. I wish I had a table saw. jigsaw would probably work too. The trick is to get the right amount of pipe remaining after the cut. Half is not enough. There has to be more than 50% remaining for it to seat properly.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Cheap upgrade: I have too much camping gear to fit in a Goose Gear setup, so I use tubs. The challenge with tubs is getting them over the hump created by the rubber door gasket. I knew that eventually, hauling tubs over the gasket would tear it. The solution is a length of 1.5 inch PVC pipe with...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Hi Brittany: Welcome! We have one of those memory foam egg carton mattress covers under the Dream Island and pad and it closes just fine. The bed does not fill the entire upper compartment, so there is room for pillows up there. We are super happy with the Canopy Camper.
