I used 4 load bars because it has the support the weight of my Bush Company RTT, 270 awning and my wife's garage sale items.

For the Bushcompany Awning. Is their brackets the best for their awning? What have you guys done?
I used the Bush Company brackets. They have held up great so far. Been on for about 9 months.

It depends on the size of the individuals. I would look up the matress size and then mock it up and see if your family will fit. I like it 10X better than the Smittybilt I used to have.

I had to wait 4 months for my RTT and 270 awning. Southern Xpeditions is near by so when they came in Derrik dropped them off at my house.

The Bush Company hard shell tents have racks available that you could permanently mount solar panels to if that is the direction you want to go in.

Here is a picture of my setup. Warn cradle with a Smittbilt winch. Positive is that it stays out of the weather so the synthetic line will last much longer, cost was much less than buying a bumper and I can move it to the rear if necessary. Negative is that the approach and departure angles are...
I have a F250 and I can tell you that the bed and cab do not move in total unison so if you mounted anything to both points you would have a problem at some point.

Call
DERRICK OURSLER with Southern Xpeditions and see if he has any options for you on the Bush Company one. He is a really good guy and will try to lead you in the right direction if that is your only issue with the product.
