Truma seems to sell to the builders, not the individual. As I gathered background info on the Combi I talked to their tech support. When he realized I would be an end user, he stopped talking. But my builder had no issue and I am happy with the Combi in my popup.

I have it on a 4X4 GMC 3500. Here is a link to a few inside pictures: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/256597-3500-camper-install/?do=findComment&comment=2605947

I have a Phoenix popup camper. Picked it a few months ago after a 14 (?) month building process. It is pretty much what I asked to have built. I selected them because of their reputation, aluminum/composite shell and custom build. No chance for rot on/in the shell and I am able to use it off the...
Does anyone know if it matters what orientation the Blue Sea 285-Series Circuit Breaker - Surface Mount is positioned? I have a few wires that would be easier to connect if I mounted the breaker horizontally.
Thanks
Thanks for the comments. I fish in wooded areas that have brush and the jacks will be an issue. Just was not sure if I was missing something that would suggest II should haul around the jacks. Just need to finally pick up the camper.

After considering several options, I ended up going long bed that I will not remove. So that means I will have a slide-in. Less room inside camper but greater uses for the truck. Truck is a 2022 3500 gasser with most of the tech packages. Been waiting for a build date from GMC for a few months...
Our first rv is an airstream luggable. Many people assume it represents quality. They are wrong. Just read the airforum to notice the multi-year discussions on corrosion, cabinets falling off the walls, separation from frame, rediculous electrical layouts and so on. This is from many years of...
No rust but I expect there will be filiform corrosion. Not a structural problem except in extreme cases but can make that nice looking truck not nice.

Thanks for the useful input. More useful than from the various truck forums for this application.
I find the suicide doors and e-locker a pro. Got use to them with our Toyota.
The aluminum strength issue is probably more of a negative for me than any perceived corrosion benefit.
I like the...
This is painful. I am trying to decided between the 2022 3500HD couble cab and 2022 F350 XLT supercab, both 8'bed gassers. The final selection will be fitted with a Phoenix popup slide-in. Right now I have the GMC on order and talked to Ford today. The supply issues with GMC has it in a...
In addition to more battery capacity you might want to take advantage of the truck's power system. Add a good battery-battery charger and you might not need a generator.

Excellent discussion about the POP-UP that I have been wanting since I first saw pictures of the prototype. I was finally lucky to see one in late April at a local distributor. The build quality is excellent! It met or exceeded all my objectives except a couple. Everything is solidily built...
