Yakima had an online sale going on so I picked up a Skinnywarrior with the extension and net. I needed something to work with the rod vault, every other rack would have been too wide. With plenty of storage in the truck this will serve the purpose of carrying thing you don’t want inside...

After the suspension settled down on the truck it sat exactly leveled front to back at around 22” center hub to fender. However with a reverse yota lean, driver side was sitting almost an inch higher than the passenger. I decided to install my factory overloads leafs back on to get some more...

Sweet another tundra, and a super clean one at that! ?

front end refresh on 2004 AC tundra question.

Sway bar links and tie rods, inspect and replace if needed. They are pretty cheap and since your going to get an alignment anyways, might as well. Also depending how much it will cost you for new upper arms plus oem ball joint, you may just want to consider some spc arms (come with bushings and...

Got the rest of the wiring done. Ran 10 awg to the rear accessory panel and reworked the cap wiring for the dome light and third break light. Always nervous when you start cutting sheet metal but the provided template makes things easier. Built a 20ft harness and redid the cap wiring while...

I appreciate the information. The thhn wire I picked up is gas and oil resistant so at least it has a better coating. I also am wrapping it in loom for some added abrasion protection. The lower strand count does make it stiffer but should still route to where I need it fine. The Blue Sea panel...

There isn't one in San Antonio  I wonder if Altex carries automotive grade wire? Worst case scenario, from my research the thhn wire should work fine especially in such a heavy gauge. It just doesn't bend as easily but, I think all other "cons" of thhn wire shouldn't effect my needs.

Wired up a 100 amp circuit breaker and Blue Sea fuse box. Pretty straight forward install. What took the longest was finding 4 awg battery cables. O’riellys was the only auto part store that carried both black and red battery cables in bulk. Just waiting on the UPS man to arrive with the...

Just a quick update on the x2 Power battery. Parked the truck around 6 PM and battery read 12.6 volts. Left the fridge running all night with cutoff set on the low setting. At 8 am this morning I checked voltage and it hadn’t change. Truck started right up and fridge maintained on. It passed...

Battery Plus finally got my battery in. Employee said he’s never seen one brought in for a replacement in the year he’s worked there. The 27F fits in the factory location with the factory tie down. I sat in my truck with the key in acc while listening to the radio for the first time in months...

Wish I could blame the boots failing, but I clearly damaged them when installing the front suspension. My lift is small so I plan on getting some oem boots to reboot the axle soon but will use the improved hose clamps instead so I don’t have to deal with oem clamp tools.

Thanks for all the advice, It's a single 906 bulb. So a whole 9 watts. If I run a LED bulb it would be more like 1.5 watts. I think 16 awg and a 5 amp fuse should be what I need.

Before I even read your message I went ahead and purchased a small fuse block with negative connections, also from Blue Sea. I'll add it in the engine bay and run the fridge and rear panel to it along with both negatives. Both using 10 awg (fridge is inside cab). Then I'll run a single power...

My battery (X2 power 27f) should arrive at Battey plus tomorrow. So I can’t help but have electrical on my mind. Fridge is wired up so now I’m looking at wiring power to the bed of the truck. I ordered a Blue Sea accessory panel for a nice clean look. This will be mainly for phone charging...

Arb wiring kit came in and my gamble paid off. I was hoping that the ARB fridge plug would work on my Alpicool. I heard Dometic uses the same plug as ARB so I figured it may work for me too, and it sure did. Looks a little different but plugged right. Ran the kit through the little...

Yeah in hindsight I wouldn’t have minded that little extra lift. But I’m going to wait a couple hundred miles and see where everything settles to. Then I may look at some small blocks or shackles to dial in the rear end and get a little rake back. I too tow a small boat pretty often and don’t...

The new fridge also came in. This is what I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/Alpicool-Portable-Refrigerator-Freezer-Vehicle/dp/B07L3FLBQ4 This is the same as the Costway and other rebranded models floating around amazon. It’s pretty efficient and well insulated, gets to temperature quickly and...

Sean the pack is directional but this is the correct orientation. The clamp in front is even closer so it definitely wouldn’t work that way. These were made for Tacomas originally so maybe tundra fitment was an afterthought?

Kevin so far the ride feels great. It feels firmer when it comes to body rolling, braking and dips. Yet it handles bumps and impacts like pot holes smoother. No more bottoming out in the rear. I do wish I got a little more lift out of them, but then again I have a topper and a drawer system. I’m...
