Irrespective of any leaks, you can expect significant condensation on cold nights. Just something to keep in mind.

Tire pressures vs conditions (and towing)

Went with 235/60R-18 for the G015s. They are fine on-road, though definitely more sidewall flex than the previous tires and all the ones I'm used to. I'm not a very good resource for comparisons. These are the first AT tires I've ever owned, so I can only compare to various other all-season...

Tire pressures vs conditions (and towing)

I'm not sure. For sand or snow, I think the risk of burying the trailer tires goes down if they are aired down.

Tire pressures vs conditions (and towing)

Do you tow a trailer? Is that what these pressures are referring to?

Tire pressures vs conditions (and towing)

Thanks for the reply. I'm really surprised you go so high on the rear tire pressure with the trailer attached. Your pressure is 60% higher on the rear tires for trailer vs no-trailer. And yet, your rear axle load doesn't increase anything near that much (figure your tongue weight is 400 to 500...

Tire pressures vs conditions (and towing)

I have a Volvo XC90, running Yokohama Geolandar G015 tires. Can someone suggest tire pressures to run on: Forest service roads with speeds under 40mph? Rougher roads with some bigger rocks? Sand / mud / really tricky stuff? How to adjust the above if I'm towing a 3.5K to 4K pound offroad...

All Terrain Tires vs Continental DWS06 in Snow

I've run DWS06 on various vehicles for years. They are great all-season tires, known for being a cut above other all-season tires in the snow. Does anyone have experience running these as well as All-Terrain tires (KO2, Geolandar G105, etc) in the snow? I'm trying to determine if the...

    TetonX Hybrid

I'm also curious about opinions with respect to wood in trailers such as the TetonX. That said, I believe that all the trailers from TetonX are composite now.

Customizing a Lock N Roll Hitch to fit receiver

The manual says "Only use ball mount for towing. Do not mount accessories directly on the ball mount." This is where I hope that Volvo employees did well in school.... There is a difference between "only use ball mount for towing" and "use only ball mount for towing". The former implies you...

Customizing a Lock N Roll Hitch to fit receiver

Have you done this yet? I'm dealing with similar issues. I learned the following: 1. Some of the other Lock N Roll vehicle-side adapters should fit our tube length of 2.5". The adjustable one in your photos should fit now too, as the new ones have a 2nd hole closer to the end of the tube. This...
