So I decided that I don't really like the big square RV door. Returning it and getting a rounded baggage door with the slam latch instead. Should make it a smaller "foot print" also on the side of the trailer. Then using 2 16x16 rounded baggage doors on the trapezoidal part for pass-through...

Thank you! I just have to run a 2x2 support beam between the 2 sides because I didn't think through the design enough to weld a L support bracket.

Can you also show some pics of how you did your front hatch? Did you put 1" frame out to attach the hatch?

Well... On my shakedown drive today I discovered that these Timbren axles need the support bar to go across (2") as I had some serious case of positive camber.

Thanks so much! I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NL450SY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for weather stripping. As for the latch... I am using the same latch BUT, i used 2" tubing so I have to fabricate custom tongue for it to clear 2" and the weather stripping metal.

I noticed that you have your trailer battery getting charged by the truck when you are driving.... I thought we couldn't do that on our 4runners unless we upgrade the alternator? Ours comes with 140 I think.

Your build inspired me to learn how to weld and build my own. I am building mine to fit 23Zero Walkabout 72 so it is 72" plus the front section (~20"). My biggest difficulty is engineering doors that are water tight without using RV doors. Oh and I ended up not tack welding the sheet metal...

I ordered some 1/2" 20mm diameter lugs from Amazon. We'll see if they fit on Saturday.

Thanks but I do not think these will work with SCS wheels. You need spline lug nuts

I looked at the 1/2" lug nuts but they seem to be too big in diameter to work with the SCS Ray10s. Ones I have seen on Amazon are 20mm, which are too big. I need to take a measurement but I think 19mm may work

I am assuming you had to re-stud the hubs for the SCS F5 wheels you got? If so, what studs did you end up using?
