I use a car scissor jack and a 2x4 to span between the rails on my tent. Little lube on the posts and works good enough. You can get a scissor jack at Harbor freight. Same one that comes with your car.
Redarc is awesome. Perfect for your setup
0 = 0 volts to trailer breaks. Higher the number more voltage allowed to brakes, thus increasing breaking force. Leave it on proportional mode and then change it to the other setting for offroading (I forget what it's called). The other setting...
We need a NC meet up lol. I'm in the process of building a new rig and doing some big mods on the trailer. I can't get out right now to camp between work and kids. But I want to be ready for late summer. I'm going to start exploring pisgah and mapping future sites
Welcome! I have a jackery 1000 and love it. The reason I'm going with an electrical setup is to run the water pump, fixed exterior lights and have a hardwire setup with fridge. The jackery is really nice and I loved it in the back of my jeep. But for this with electrical needs all over the...
Congrats! I just move an hour outside Charlotte NC from CA. If you have some camping spots out here let me know, I've been trying to research some spots.
The one I built slide into the factor hitch and then bolts through the factory d ring holes. I welded two brackets behind the d ring mounts to give it a little more support. Not sure how the final version that dirt works is selling mounts. Maybe the other guys that are buying from him can...
For sure I'll throw some pictures on here as I go. It's going to be a drawn out process doing all of this at once. I'm going to put the tank at the front where the spare tire originally went. I bought a 15 gallon from Ironman 4x4. It's only 9" tall so I plan to build a sheet metal box around...
I want to change mine out to compression latches. That way there is nothing rotating metal on metal. I haven't measured but shouldn't be hard to make a square plate with the size of the new latch and just drill 4 holes and bolt the plate with some caulk behind it. Just need some security type...
Bumper looks great. Here is the link to buy one
If you want the basket on top of the carrier it's a separate purchase. Glad I could help out and give an off the shelf option for a bumper.

Yep he has been busy but is going to focus on this the next couple weeks. He should be coming by this week to go over how to modify it for you guys using mine as an example. Hopefully you guys can order soon. He said he had a ton of requests so good work on hitting him up. He for sure wants...
I pulled the stock jack off and used it as a template to drill the mounting plate of the ARK jack. I wondered also until I took it off then it made sense. Pull the stock one off and you will see how it can be used as a template. I can send you pics tomorrow. To Dark now to see a black...
Not a problem, glad to help.
I chopped up the stock mount since it's an odd ball size and you can't buy that size square tubing. Then I welded it all together and painted it. Works good and I can flip them to the opposite sides upside down for more clearence if needed (so handle is towards...
I just spoke to him and he said he would be fine with modifying it. Sounds like the only thing you would need to do is Weld a tab to the trailer next to the D rings if you wanted to but to be honest as long as you don't put a trailer behind your trailer it should be fine. The stock weight...
I assume close to his original price as the alterations are not a big change in material or labor.

I was just thinking how many of you would be interested if I could get dirtworks to sell a more complete bumper just for our trailers? I can see if he could match my modifications during the build process and sell it with the mounts on it. You would still have to Weld two tabs on the trailer...
Nope not a direct bolt on but it's as easy as it gets if you had to pay someone to fab the Brackets. I can imagine someone charging much at all. The great thing is he hand makes each bumper so you can buy it without the jeep Brackets saving time not having to cut them off. It took me a full...
I've read through all the pages and took alot of info to apply to my new to me scout trailer. This forum is awesome.. I've add OVS 4 person tent and their huge 270 awning. I had to make a Bracket off the front to hold there length.
Added ARK jack front and rear. Front barely lifts the...
