I have the same question, have the harness peeled back to cut those very wires tomorrow. Wish there was a way around it, but I put some energy into finding the connector without success.

The deck is more like 1/8th (forget the gauge offhand), but I supported often with square tube to hopefully avoid too much bending. The aluminum skin is mostly .063, with the back door .080 since they were out of .063, and the front .050 for the same reason.

That's what I thought, but I can lift up either half by hand, and the tractor didn't even hesitate. I'm guessing 5-600lbs when I'm finished.
