Help me pick a new truck...

My 2p. If this is going to be for overlanding as you said go with the bigger bed. You said you will keep the k5 for tighter stuff. And yes it will feel like a barge! I have that feeling on my f150 after using my jeep! I have the 65” bed on mi e and wish I had gotten the foot longer one. Yes...

Two Years Living On Two Wheels...And Counting

Thank you posting this on here. I feel like I am back on adv rather than the glamping reports on here. Glad you are recovering and I am looking forward to the next series of posts! Edited to add that I have never been in your position. I have done extended motorcycle overlanding on dual...

Is e-Bike Trailer Living Feasible for Full-Time Adventuring?

Certainly one of the more outside the box threads on here! You guys are challenging a lot of the technical aspects but what about the fact his wife is going along with this!!!!! Just curious, you chose no suspension for the bikes? Is that purely a weight and efficiency consideration?

News Flash! Americans don't want expensive and unreliable cars😳

Yep! They should have always kept a close to original base model instead of chasing the luxury suv crowd

It’s called a Cherokee and you are correct, they sell millions of them.

News Flash! Americans don't want expensive and unreliable cars😳

You have to remember the demographics on here. The best vehicle ever built was a 60s Land Cruiser with bias ply tires, leaf spring suspension, 3 speed transmission and 35 hp. Better than anything built today!

Will the Honda/Nissan Possible Merger Save the Frontier and/or Titan?

I believe the Murano was one of their first cvts. I also vaguely remember them being discouraged from use on the mount Washington auto road because of it. They were asked to park and offered a free ride up. I had Subaru s first cvt and was pleased with it.

    Ramcharger specs are out

I have heard of some folks complaining about the weight of using the 3.6 but some of the articles have stated it’s the cheapest motor they make and it bolts right in so it was the cheapest and quickest option development wise.

News Flash! Americans don't want expensive and unreliable cars😳

Yeah, I bought a 2013 JKU a few years with the 6 speed and basic stuff. Was kind of cool, felt like I had gone back to the 70s or 80s and it was fun rowing the gears but it was an odd transmission. The long shifter moves about a foot or more from the first gear position to the sixth gear...

    JKU Rhino Pioneer Rack system?

Ahhh, thanks! I saw some interesting designs on Amazon. This one has ladder sides and mounts in the gutters on the front and under the roof in the rear. https://a.co/d/8SAeAsj The one I have (just the mounts) uses the rear lift window brackets to mount in the rear. Perfect for mounting my...

Anyone here using Peelable Body Armor? (DipYourCar)

It may prevent very light scratches, like the coatings they do. Fortunately for wrangler owners they make reasonably priced magnetic panels that protect from anything up to a small dent. I had good success with those on my heavier off-road trips. I would think with the popularity of the lcs...

Best iPhone e-sim provider for England

Thanks for all the info. I have heard a lot of good things about googlefi but google has no place in my universe! Being England specific I went with EE. $25 for 30 days. Works great and they also have the eu.

    JKU Rhino Pioneer Rack system?

I made a similar set up as rubiconx1. Plenty of room for 1 with my fridge inside and have plenty of storage. I kept the stock front seats. If I was traveling with the wife I would put the fridge inside the front seat for the night. I also found a 13 gallon rv water tank that fits perfectly in...
