First of all, those are some awesome Pics! It gets me even more pumped for my trip to Moab! My brother and I are heading down to do the WRT in about a week and a half. As far as wildlife in the area, what should I be on the look out for? As far as bugs...would a bug repellant with deet be good...

I'll be heading down to do the trail in May, 4 days 3 nights. How much actual driving is there during the day, is there time to go for short hikes and explore on foot or am I going to have to drive most of the day just to get to camp?

Is the trail fairly well labeled as far as hikes/lookout points are concerned?

Had Goodyear Duratracs on my 03 Tacoma.....I LOVED them, great on ice and in deep snow. They were also great off road in anything I put them in, which wasn't a ton but thats because I sold the truck in the summer after getting the tires the previous November so I didn't have much time with them...

Looks like fun, I tried the Grey Creek pass on July 6th and we made it about 90% of the way through until we hit snow and had to turn back. We were on our own and I just have a stock Pro4X with stock rugged trails for tires so I wasn't going to try it unless there was more than just our truck...

The VDC is a great option however when in 4Lo and you have the rear locked the computer turns the VDC off if I am not mistaken. That being said both trucks are great and you won't go wrong either way. I've had an 03 Tacoma which I loved and I now have an 09 Pro 4X and I love the truck, I was on...

This is certainly a good thread to have, I keep hearing about the IFS/Front Diff Grenading on the 2nd gen's. I am very curious as to why they break down is it part failure or Driver fault. From what I read the Frontier is very reliable and abuse for the most part is why stuff breaks on these trucks.
