Hello,
I read your note on your extra set of crimpers. If they are not clamed I could use them as I am just starting my electrical in my camper. I can email a FedEx label.
Thanks Larry

I already have a head unit installed with an 8" screen for the video cameras I run while driving.
I do not have a place to install a second head unit in the dash.
I like to use Waze on the highways. I use my iPhone to do this. It is older and does not have a big screen. I use my head unit to always display the outside cameras.
The AirPad is too old to run Waze so I have been experimenting with a screen-sharing app. It works but the resolution on the...
The tube is around 1/4" OD so should not interfere that much. Very easy to undo if it is really bad.
At $3.85 a gallon the slower it takes to fill up the more I feel I am getting my money's worth... :)
This is my thinking on tapping into the gas tank.
My Silverado has a steel filler neck that is attached to a rubber hose going to the gas tank. Very easy to take apart. The plan is to tap into the metal neck, on the workbench, and TIG braze a 90-degree fitting to the tube. The gas line is very...
My SpaceKap is about 15 years old. The doors are the 50/50 ones. You do see changes over the years.
A local utility bought it and never used it.
Cutting the window opening will tell me a lot. :)
Good to know that the door is sandwiched. I thought they were bonded together like the sides.
My main charging will be from a separate 2nd alternator I am putting on my Silverado. The solar on the roof will be just extra.
Still looking for side windows.
The back window is about 18" tall. How tall are your side windows?
The back door has an external and internal panel so it is at least twice as thick as the sides. I do not think it is going to flex at all. Maybe cut the inner panel larger so the window is just on the external panel. Hmmmm...
That's a big passthrough :) I bet the kids use it.
I would like to put a small opening window up in the top nose and a passthrough.
I picked up a window for the back door. The doors are not as flat as they look. Will need to make some kind of shims. Did you have that problem with the side...
I plan to do the pullout bed too. I have been in tents that were that small. :)
Does your front window also open?
Does it leak when driving in the rain?
What make is it? I am in the window planning stage right now.
Did you put in a passthrough window too?
It seems like we have several Spacekap builds starting. I should start mine in May (8'). It would be nice to see what you guys have done. I am still buying parts. Looking for windows now.
How much material was needed to cover the walls?
I am planning on using some old school Track Lighting. It will be wired for 12 volts. I will have modified lights, fans, USB plugs, hooks, etc. so that they can be moved around as needed.
The track is thick enough so that I can run a string of remote programable LED strips on the edge. I like...
Hi Guys,
I am doing my investigating on insulating my 8 foot SpaceKap. Still have not decided what to use yet.
How much material, fabric, or insulation, is needed to cover the walls and ceiling?
The lower section will be covered so I will just use standard 1/2 inch boards.
Thanks
I just got my 8' SpaceKap two weeks ago. Us Spacekap owners need to all be in touch on our builds.
I like the Le Petit layout the best as it gives you the ability to get in and move about (a little) with the bed made up. Other layouts have no standing room when the bed is set up.
I will be...
Maybe a thin long window.
OR make the windows stick out so it all looks like you planned it this way. Something different. Round windows or paint the trim red so it really sticks out.
I just picked up an 8' SpaceKap and starting my planning. I am sure I will need input from all the SpaceKap...
