Thanks. It's so close.
The camper is large but it will make a great base camp while using our off road toy. Plus my wife and I will be living in it full time while we travel.
The dodge has been upgraded with air bags and bumpstop extensions to help with the load and keep sway down.
Will be...
Well they sell them in most rv stores for towing a trailer with a truck camper that sticks out past the rear of the truck.

The Truss I built uses the same idea but I used 2 -2x2 1/4 wall tubing and is only about 30" of extension. The Supertruss...
Well havent been online in a while but have been working hard on the camper.
It is almost done. I have been working on the solar panels and getting it ready for paint.
I decided to remove the regular truck bed and build a tool bed for extra storage.
Update:
Just bought the rest of the propane fittings for the propane holding area. This weekends goal will be to build the wall liner for the propane compartment. We plan on using aluminum to build the inner walls of the propane compartment. I will then seal the compartment so that if there is...
Thanks! Paul?
I will be working more on the exterior over the next few weeks. I need to order a few compartment doors. Then to the body shop for some dent repairs. I'm debating painting it myself (to save money) or to let the body shop do it. $500 is a bunch of money for some white paint...
The bed area is also done. I replaced all the boards with nice new ones. I plan on putting felt down on top of that. Just for a soft touch on the edge. We will be getting a foam Mattress before our journey begins.
The interior is getting close! Not much left on the list of basics.
We bought...
I also rebuilt the rear undercover to cover the grey water tank. The rv wasn't designed with a grey water tank so I had to cut the bottom off and rebuild it to fit my needs. I left an opening that I plan to put a door in to access the tank dump valves. I will also put a door in for the sewer hose.
I spent about 4 days polishing all the aluminum that was once shinny. Most of the aluminum runners were almost white in color before it polished them. I am very happy with the result.
Also got the interior paneling all put up. After I replaced all the electrical wiring and plumbing. The water system is finished. I replaced every bit of the old copper water lines with new poly lines. I also replaced all the propane copper as well.
The last plumbing related item is a new...
I have been busy working on the Rambler!
Ive Completely redone the countertop and table. Didn't like any laminate we could find locally. I decided to make the countertop out of Birch and use bar top clear epoxy cover. This stuff is awesome. We plan on putting a map on the table and doing...
The sitting area lamp was in good shape so I just cleaned it up and rewired it. I installed 2 LED warm light bulbs from Home depot. Very nice warm light. I think they pull .10 amp each.
Got the LED lights in.
The kitchen has 2 different lighting options. The 36 LED fixture (pulls .12 amps) and the low light 6 single LED ( total .04 amp).
The counter top was ruined so started over. I will be covering the counter top with either this stainless steel or laminate. The oven/stove was in great shape. I just painted some of the rough trim with our green accent color.
I replaced all the old water and propane plumbing.
