Hey Charles, When you install the Eco hubs you are basically removing the 2:1 Planetaries and it's just 1:1. It's a permanent thing. There is still lots of torque and power but drops the RPM's significantly. The fan rarely kicks in and at cruising speed its much quieter, plus better MPG's.
