there are a bunch of random places with empty space in the JK/JKU, i found a spot under the front cowl for my pump and thermostatic mixing valve, which worked out well since i put the heat exchanger just below there in the engine bay:

i made a single-person one in my JK that also olds up for storage, build thread here... - it's definitely a tighter fit in the JK since the seats don't fold all the way back like that.

a CESS stainless folding shovel that i got it from Amazon years ago, but they haven't been back in stock for a long time... CESS appears to be a random Chinese product importer. i've had good luck with it though, it's quite stout and locks in place securely.
