They don't 'need' to match the track width. I was replacing the axle to reduce weight and match up my wheels so I needed a different bolt pattern. While I'm doing this I might as well set the track width accordingly as it was very close to my FJ to begin with. That's all.

Thank you, when I do these kinds of threads I hope they pay off for others down the road. In reality, an inch either way really won't matter on the trailer. If I remember correctly the stock 5 spokes were 4.84 BS and I think my TT wheels are 4.5" like the steel wheels. I have 285's on there...

Don't know.. what is the backspacing on the steel wheels? Width? Probably won't make much difference either way.

You bet, several times. I have a big custom made cowboy roll that is canvas/leather and 3" memory foam. First time I slept in it (without the top on) I woke up at sunrise, pushed the rain flap on the roll open...cruuunch... ******? .. it had sleeted and turned me in to a popsicle... I was snug as a...

Haven't been on here for awhile. I sold my 2010 FJ and then recently bought an 08 FJ TT with a TRD supercharger. As it's a TT it comes with the black TRD wheels....soooo, I found some TRD knockoffs and some General 285's to match my FJ and got those installed tonight. Wheel spacers were still...

FJ's are about 4.75" if I remember correctly so that's another .500" along with my 1.25" spacers that will be around 1.75" but far short of your 4" difference. Having said that, you need to order an axle suited for the wheels you are using. Unless you are using the same exact wheels/spacers I...

Remember, I have 1.25" All Pro spacers on there too for the hub centric FJ wheels... what is the backspacing on your TRD's?

    US Offroad Winch Bumper

I don't want to break any rules here so I'll simply say this then you will need to contact me directly via our website. It gives you bash protection up front with a .250" winch tub and then .125" fascia that combines for .375" for the math impaired. The lower portion of the fascia is fully...

Yeah.. that's what I meant... on the side of the fender well but at the top. I just wasn't too clear about it. I have removable eye bolts at the corners and another set just in front of the wheel wells too. If I can't secure my cargo then it can't be secured. You can see a couple of the...

Added 8' of L Track from US Cargo Control down each side, I have an extra 4' x 2 but haven't made up my mind where I want it just yet. You can get this powder coated in an abundance of colors. I passed on their stainless screws, 1.5" was too long and I'm hiding them under the bed rails for a...

It's been awhile... With the upcoming Lone Star Toyota Jambo next month I decided it is time to do a few things. 1. Ordered an OD Green (company colors now) cover to replace the tan cover (tarp) that came with the trailer. (The tan one is for sale) 2. Going to try and strip the tan paint off...

Getting back around to working on this more. As far as brakes go I've contemplated adding brakes, one issue is it's ******** to put a controller on an FJ, real pain in the ********. There are some wireless controllers that solve that problem but are a bit pricey still. Something like this will set you...

Not much happening just yet. I'm sure I'll be doing a few things after the first of the year. Tows great. I've had around 1000lbs in it. Tows straight and smooth. Emergency stops might get exciting under the wrong conditions but under normal, even spirited driving, it tows and stops...

Well.. apparently it takes more than this thyroid cancer to kill me, as a result I'm still alive an kicking. Finally getting my thyroid levels closer to normal. Still not 100% but I'm doing good overall. Go back in a few months to do another rad scan for a checkup (MUCH smaller dose this time)...

Me and you both! The side affects of not having a thyroid are...ummm, undesirable to say the least. Like having a bad flu without the snot, and oh yeah, no memory or cognitive functions (or as I call it, NTD, No Thyroid Duh). Random cramps, every joint in my body hurts half the time, sleep at...

Been awhile but about to get started on this again, somewhat out of necessity. No my wife didn't kick me out... :) I've been using the trailer quite often for normal hauling needs. Very happy with it...very. My FJ pulls it anywhere I want to go without issue. Used it at the Texas Toyota...

Thanks again! Yes. I'm looking at taking the bows and removing the lower legs then using the shortened bows to support a tarp cover. Wanted it for the FJ Jamboree in a few days but flat haven't had the time to address it. I'm not thinking about any kind of hard top or RTT at this time.
