    Lighting set-ups: HID vs. LED

I am late to this tread but thought I would add a little info for the archives. The Baja 1000 just finished up the 1100 mile run to La Paz. There was a lot of discussion before the race about LED light bars that the Trophy trucks were sporting. Most figured they were there for the photo ops...

    Yellow power wagon expedition vehicle

That's the one, how could I forget the yellow wheels. I tried to buy the trailer a couple of times, never could get info on it. Must have sat there for 10 years. Cool truck, would like to know where it ended up. Would be cool with a 12V CTD in it.

    Yellow power wagon expedition vehicle

I remember the truck well, but no pictures. I saw it in Baja one time (early 90's), then the matching trailer sat in a storage yard in San Felipe for years. It has now disappeared. I think that it was OFF-Road Magazine that did the story.

    Need a new muffler, suggestions??

Second vote for the MagnaFlow, nice mild rumble at idle and on acceleration, Quiet at hwy speed. Used them on V8's, V6's, and I6's, all sounded great

    Our New Wind Turbine Mast

I have an old Army surplus antenna mast that is similar to this. It will not hold pressure as the leather seals are ruined. it goes up about 30' and folds down to about 6'. I tried to get some seals made but the quotes were nearly $300, so I passed. A 20' or taller antenna mast would be a...

    America is Changing... fast!

Kudos on making this trip possible. I have had similar idea for years. I live in the same small town in Western Arizona that I grew up in. Most of my friends have left, few ever come back. I don't think that you can see the way that the USA is changing nearly as much in the city. From here...

    Ford v10 questions

I would suggest that you get new boots while you are at it. They tend to burn through and kill the coils.

Tire Changing on a Full Size Truck

I like a air powered bottle jack. Compact and powerful, of course you have to run a hose. I like this one. Of course cheeper versions are available, but you know how that goes. Oh and the BTW love your build.

Dodge 2500 diesel with Spirson Offroad lift kit

Not to be nit picky, because I agree with you on the point. There is not a 3500# TT out there, 4500 would be a lite weight and I have heard stories of some hitting 7000#. As an example I support a Jimco single seat 1 car that with a little 5.0 stroker an 35" tires that weighs 3700#. On...

    Ford Powerstroke HPOP Fuel System

I fixed several early Power Smokers that Had melted valve cover gaskets. Not a big deal cept the wiring for the glow plugs is integrated into the gaskets. We had a fleet of 1st gen trucks that I serviced, they were used on a local ranch, all were rode hard. Most were pushing 200k. One more...

Arizona Traverse Project: Segment Two (Moto)

I am now researching the original Ehrenburg Road, which connected with the Bradshaw at the Colorado (now the small town of Ehrenburg along I10) Scott, while I do not know the route by name I spent much of my misspent youth riding and 4wheeling this area. If I can help I will.

    Flip up Off Road Lights...

That was a Bill Strope set up, found on PJ's Big Oly Broncos and Manny Esquerra's Rangers. Someone made a fiberglass insert at some point but I haven't seen one in years. The electric actuated ones are very nice for adjusting lights at speed, and has become standard on high end race cars...

    Lowrance HDS-5 Available?

Just thought I would add that an external antenna is not included with these units. Add a extra $250 to the cost. That used 7200 is sounding better all the time.
