Here is a discussion on the balljoint issue.. In my opinion it's a design flaw as the failure is catastrophic causing the wheel to fold up under the truck or in some cases completely separate from the truck. Common problem with First Gen Tacomas, Tundras and 3rd Gen 4Runners...

Looks like you need smaller diameter rims ..big rims and low profile tires = stuckalot..small diameter rims larger tires = bigger footprint, more flex, superior ride and alot more traction.

Hi there guys, thought i would share this Vehicle with you. I met a guy from Naples FL who has this lovely FJ40/80. Its an FJ40 body sitting on a shortened 80 series chassis powered by a 6 cyl 1HD-T turbo Diesel Engine..what a beauty. Jerome built this vehicle himself...Enjoy!!!
