Yeah it's a bummer. I found a 1999 Monty with the rear locking diff I'm looking at now. We'll see how it goes. Trying to be patient and make a good decision vs. getting hasty and buying a junker.

After searching around craiglist for a while I found a 1997 Montero SR. It's got the SOHC 3.5, rear locking diff, timing belt was changed this past november, passing smog, no leaks, and he's asking 2300. Pretty set on pulling the trigger on this tomorrow. I noticed, cruising through the threads...
