I'm having a similar problem. My truck topper (fiberglass) has a typical heavy felt lining to it. I wanted to mount interior lights from Harbor Freight on the upper edges and hold them in place by gluing male velcro to the back of the lights. When I do, the fabric pulls away. I've tried 3M's 77...
