Handling Characteristics of JK with RTT?

To be absolutely honest...I don't even know that it's there other than when I go to fill up as my fuel consumption has increased but not substantially. I have a Gobi for my rack and it is virtually silent and incredibly solid with very little flex. My RTT weighs in at 150lbs. I personally don't...

    Roof Top Tents?

You're absolutely right - my daughter loves it. I actually think that it has helped create alot of great experiences/memories for her in terms of going different places and sleeping in what she terms a 'cool' spot! We've had a lot of questions about this set-up and she's become an expert at...

    Roof Top Tents?

I absolutely have not one regret with my RTT. Easy to set up, large, extremely comfortable with a great view point. Nice in that I generally have no extra room inside the JK when I'm on the road anyway, so having the tent outside of the vehicle definitely makes room for bikes, kid, dog, fridge...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Took it out for one last camp this season west of Trout Lake BC on Silver Cup Ridge. Pretty rare in BC to be able to drive into the alpine. Highest (7200' asl) and coldest (0C.) camping this year, but definitely the best views!

    Gobi Stealth JKU Owners

The adjustable foot pads definitely assist in the reduction of flex from the rack. Even with the four pads evenly pressured against the Gobi supplied plates I still notice very slight flex in the whole rack when the RTT is on. I honestly don't think there's any rack built that wouldn't flex with...

    Gobi Stealth JKU Owners

Congratulations - I purchased my Gobi Stealth from Matt as well and it was a very good experience. Here are a couple of shots that give you a rough idea of the mounting points. The one's behind the rear wheel-well and bumper are hard to get a handle on if you don't have the actual vehicle to...

    Trans-America Trail

I did the TAT from Silverton through to eastern Oregon three years ago on my KTM640. Have often thought how much fun it would be to do with my JKU. Here's a link to a report I did on ADV Rider that has a plethora of pictures (starts about halfway down)...

    255/85R-16E Toyo M-55's

I ran these twenty years ago while working in the bush and I don't think they've changed much. The main reason I bought them was that just about every work oriented bush vehicle in Northern BC had them mounted. I used them year round on my truck and never had an issue. They're really tough as...

    Earthroamer

I too have imported vehicles into Canada, but if the vehicle doesn't have the original VIN it becomes a nightmare with 'riv'. I guess the important question is if the VIN has been changed once the conversion has been done. I have found that with vague questions that you need things in writing...

    Earthroamer

Earthroamer - Canadian Registration I have a quick question regarding Earthroamers - I've left several voicemails with them and have emailed over the last few weeks with no response back which isn't exactly confidence inspiring...but anyways, does anyone know if an Earthroamer can be registered...
