Thanks for the clarification. I'll admit that I've never had that problem. If I can't get my jack under the axle of the fully deflated tire, I just drive that tire up onto two or more of the 2x12" leveling boards I carry. Then slide my jack under the axle.

Hello Mike:
Could you elaborate on this? I don't doubt you, but I think I'm missing something. Do you mean that it takes two different types of jacks to always the correct one for a given situation?
Thanks,
Howard
This is the best advice this year on Expedition Portal. I've been messing with GPS tracks since 1992. Almost none of the data I left in any program is currently useful. But those ancient csv (coma separated value) files are all accessible and incredibly fun to load up and stimulate memories...
We record & use tracks all of the time. Three devices for recording - Apple Watch (via GAIA and Apple's activity maps) for hikes. iPhone and iPad for vehicle based tracking (CalTopo, GAIA, Pocket Earth, AllTrails depending on features needed). Haven't had any problems with battery drain in...
You might try these guys. I think they work with a crew in Europe. You don’t have to send your ECU anywhere as they work with your files after download.

Hello Gator70:
Are you planning to fill two 37" tires off of compressed air stored in the two reservoir tanks without a compressor? I might have misunderstood your post asking if a three liter tank and 150 psi would fill two tires. I assumed you were looking at a small compressor with a 3...
Short answer is yes, but how long will it take? Missing information is output in cfm (cubic feet per minute). With a tiny tank of 3L the maximum pressure really isn't significant as the volume of a 37" tire is many times greater so you'll be filling tires directly from the compressor's output...
I've had three Warn 16.5Ti winches. I've used three synthetic lines on them - Warn's Spydura Pro 3/8", Samson Amsteel Blue 1/2" and Cortland Plasma 1/2".
Of the three my least favorite is the 3/8 Warn Spydura. It smears on fairleads & rings leaving a deposit that is hard to remove. Being...
Great to hear from you Lance. I'm glad to see there is a path forward for you and Michelle. The trucks you designed and built which Heidi and I purchased brought our wanderlust to a new level. We're looking forward to seeing you guys.

I don't have a solution for you. I ran into a similar issue back in January when I decided to clean up all of my maps (iPhone & iPad) to maker GAIA more agile. Basically "archived" maps on my GAIA web account, then uninstalled GAIA apps on phone & iPad to clear everything out. Shut down both...
I’ve owned several Aluma trailers which I like for their light weight and corrosion resistance. I’ve bought all of them new, and found the company (via a good distributor) very helpful in moderate customization (larger wheels/tires, different axles, etc.). They have a number of “off the shelf”...
When you spool line onto the drum you might consider filling it to where the spooled line just clears those spacer bars running across the top of the drum, then remove two layers of line and call that a “full” drum. This leaves space for line to pile up on one side of the drum when a pull is...
A roller fairlead can work fine with synthetic winch line, as long as the rollers haven’t been scarred by wire rope. Here’s a good video by Robert Pepper explaining how he preps a roller fairlead for working with synthetic line and why he prefers roller fairleads. If your rollers have ever...
I've not done what you suggest, but I have run a Pelican case mounted flat on a rack behind the seat of a Yamaha TW200. If I was looking to mount one vertically without support at the bottom (as mentioned by @jeffgsd) I would cut a piece of 6061 aluminum plate (1/8" minimum or maybe 3/16") to...
Early on I recall that the tents came from Australia, but I don’t know if they switched to a USA based provider. At the moment a friend who owns an earlier EarthCruiser EXP and is staying at our place says he has had repair work on his clear vinyl windows done by a shop in Albuquerque. He was...
I recently had a long email exchange with GAIA technical support about a failure in syncing the data and downloaded maps onto my iPhone 11 Pro (512 mb) after reinstalling the app in an attempt to regain the level of performance enjoyed previously. After more than a week of trying all the...
Not sure it’s relevant, but I just drive my flat tire up on two of the 2x12” boards I carry for leveling our truck at camp. The extra 3” provided allows me to slide my bottle jack under the axle. If I need more clearance I just add one or two more boards.
The extra 2’ of “driving on a flat...
