I’m not a complete expert on Allisons, but I can’t find any reference to an Allison 735. The RD may refer to “Rugged Duty” version. Then there’s the somewhat recent 3700SP (FMTV) and 4700 series (MTVR, HEMTT). And there’s 3500 and 4500… And there’s older Allisons with 3-digit model numbers.

Please be specific about which transmission. Is it a ZF S5-420 which was standard for F250/350? If so, which ratio set (1st gear ratio)? Or a Borg Warner? Snd what’s the diff ratio? Any traction adding diffs?
