My 2011 KK has been gone many years but it was a great vehicle. I just slapped some 30x9.50 tires on it stock and added some tow hooks front and rear and a big safari rack. My JK is more capable but I miss the Liberty. It was very reliable.
Thanks— mud flaps would probably help. I’ll eventually have to replace the hinges. My plan is to get something mixed at the paint store if there isn’t something off the shelf.
Thank you— that’s what I usually use but just ran out of. I go through a lot as the paint flakes off the JK door hinges. It’s currently about $18 for 1/2 oz. which is a lot. Tank is an unusual color but I was hoping to find something like a rustoleum or duplicolor that is more like $7 a quart...
Thanks for the Google search but I was hoping to hear from someone who was successfully used a product. I also should have been more specific that I’m looking for something to brush on, not spray.
Does anyone know a commonly available paint to match tank green for touch up? The Mopar version is almost $20 for 1/2 oz. and doesn’t match or go on great. Thanks!
They are a little dirty but I’m really happy with how they came out. Holding up great after a year of road salt and dunking in salt water at the beach. It cost me about $50 and a couple hours of work. I used a set of JK sport stock steel wheels I bought for $20 on Craigslist.
I used Rustoleum spray can bed-liner on my beat up JK steel wheels. I cleaned them with a degreaser and scuffed them with a fine Scotch pad and put on 3 coats. I also let it cure for a few weeks. After a year it’s holding up great even after a New England winter with lots of road salt.
I have a set of p265/75r16's on my stock JK. My off roading is "blue square" rocky muddy fire roads and beach driving. They do great for that use but so would any other decent AT tire. They are great in the snow (on road) -- we just had 25" of snow this weekend and they were flawless. On...
Hi-- the radio in my 2015 Sport (basic stock radio) keeps cutting out. The sound system in general is weak and I've just been using my phone and a portable bluetooth speaker rather than repair it. I generally only use the radio as way to listen to my phone. Has anyone replaced the stock...
You can get a Wrangler for $30k. It will have a soft top, manual transmission, puny street tires, and hand crank windows and manual door locks though. Pretty sure a base Bronco will be $30k too.
Man, the reviews for these tires are all over the place. Some say they are quiet and smooth and balance well while others have trouble balancing them and say they are loud and bad on packed snow.
Can anyone comment on how these do in winter conditions? They don’t have a lot of siping.
edit— I see that SARon recommends them for snow/ice. Has anyone else used them in the winter?
