- Hold down on armature shaft while lowering motor body over armature / brush assembly. Make sure that wire pass through is aligned with slot on motor body. Magnetic force will make it hard to control. Make sure to push down on armature shaft to keep brush alignment with armatur. Now...
These are my steps for a rebuild.

The bearings are identical to the Maxfan bearings. The part number stamped on the bearing is the same as well.
I’ll post up additional detail on cleaning and assembly in the next few days.
I’ve been using two Maxxaire fans in my habitat full time for six years. Both fan motors have needed to be cleaned once or twice a year due to the dreaded squeak. Recently I found replacement bearings on Amazon. So far they are working well. They are also inexpensive so I will replace them each...
The 5160’s handle the weight of my heavy tire and wheel package and tail heavy LJ better than the 5100’s. The 5160’s have less fade over washboard and seem to be well matched for the weight of my Jeep.
Just a thought, if weight is a problem, perhaps your springs are not up to the task. As far...
I had Bilstein 5100’s on my 2005 Rubicon LJ. It‘s a bit tail heavy and on a 4“ lift, 35’s and heavy beadlocks. The 5100’s performed well and lasted for 7 years and about 70k miles. What I did not like was the ride over washboard and small irregularities. It just felt harsh. I replaced them with...
I have found the KUS USA folks to be a good source for tank gauges. With mechanical and electrical options. Prices, shipping turnaround and customer service are good.

Dometic Oceanair Skyscreen. They can be custom ordered and are pricey.
I‘ve bought them from here in the past. https://www.zarcor.com/products/oceanair/skyscreen.php
I do not have an MB part number. The brake canister vent elbow looks similar to the cracked ones on my 1982 DAF YA-4440, DAF part number 4720-12-173-8426. I’ve had a bit of a problem finding them in Europe.
I very seldom use 4x4 but, use 2WD low range regularly to control speed over rough sections and for climbing. For that reason alone, I would go with a 4x4 transfer case.
Founds this on Amazon. Batteries last about five months with continued use. Have to push a button for a 3-5 second backlight. Been using it on batteries daily for about six months.
