You can use normal cheap 1/4” plywood IMO, save some dough and then apply epoxy resin to seal. It can be found at any big box store, polyester resin is all you need. Mix with the hardener it comes with and brush on; I made a cheap plywood boat using just that to seal the wood and it worked fine...
I’ve done similar moves, to make it easier just strap some old tires to the back of the burb and push it with the other truck slowly. That way if anything goes wrong you have brakes to stop it from rolling away;) there’s always a risk of an anchor or cable failure when pulling.

Subscribed to your build, I really like how you did the frame so far. I think it's going to be a great beast of a thing when done (hopefully not too heavy). I live in BC so I can say you'll love your trip up here when you get it done! Depending on where you visit you will probably also be happy...
Also as an option you can get all fancy and spring mount the slide to absorb additional shocks during travel which in my opinion is a good way to help it last longer than a hard mounted unit might.....just thinking out loud though!
