So? Again, the departure angle has nothing to do with the cargo capacity of the Defender in comparison to the LR4. The breakover and departure have nothing to do with cargo differences. The LR4 is larger than the Defender. You start by chastising me that the Defender is larger than the LR4...

Departure angle has nothing to do with cargo capacity either.

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

Then why keep saying the Defender is bigger? The Defender has a longer wheelbase on roughly the same length. That's a decrease in breakover. The reason Defender has a better breakover has nothing to do with increasing the departure angle. The reason Defender cargo area is smaller, is because...

LR4: Nearly the same size but larger in every critical dimension LR4 cargo area is vastly more practical and larger what does this even mean? You're making my arguments for me.

Naw mate, the LR4 seems bigger and much better as a camping vehicle. I like how functional the LR4 pkg is. If you think 18" wheels on a offroad build is a plus, you've lost the plot.

didn't realize he was so popular. He is annoying but he also has a lot of experience and credible opinions. I can seperate the delivery from the message. But he's tough to take sometimes for sure.

Is it always this way or more due to the increase in camping interest due to covid-19?

I never go to designated campgrounds. Allergic to pavement camping. I think it depends on time of the week, at least around here. But big uptick in primitive camping, anything close to civilization. I'll hit some more Sierras before the cold hits, so I hope you're right.

Wolfpack Alpha - 2014 JK Build Thread

Wow, lucky that Titan piece didn't let go on the road! Looks like no penetration on the weld all the way around. Is that how you see it? Glad they squared up with you quickly.

    2000-2007 Lexus LX

Tough time to buy now. High demand for these. Depending on your expectations, a higher mileage one will be in your price range. Maintained, they will last longer than most. Very durable. Check i8hmud.com forums in the 100 series for a faq on buying. Other Toyotas to consider: GX470 (4.7 V8)...

Is it always this way or more due to the increase in camping interest due to covid-19?

covid vacations I've never seen it so busy camping. You're right, fitness equipment (bicycles for example) is booming. I've also seen many more outfitted 4x4's than ever I've also gotten so many unsolicited offers on property since covid started. But those feel like vultures.

That sounds about right with regards to pricing. But I'm sure they would still sell every one imported here. And, no one can expect such a small builder vehicle to be cheap. Sadly, I'm sure a full-tilt Bronco will cost nearly as much with demand. $50k is the new $35k I remember when $100k was...

sadly, $65K is right in line with premium 4x4 products Even the top line Bronco and Jeep Rubicons are $50k+ I'm sure Ineos would sell out instantly at that price. They seem to be teasing it coming to the US, but I don't know...

They are making luxury vehicles, and want high volume sales. They are simply trading on the name. I have a difficult time seeing much core difference between the LR4 and Defender. That storage box blocking the rear window, the styling... gives the feeling of designers who have never...

The new Defender is really disappointing. It's got the articulation of a 90 yr old with late stage degenerative joint disease.

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

I just got one of these Kovea heaters and it's fantastic. Packs small in its own hardcase. Perfect to warm up the tent at night and in the mornings, when you don't want to get out of the sleeping bag I have to give gtfo a plug- they were great to deal with and very fast (faster shipping than...
