Awesome! 1. For those back corners, I originally planned on angled pieces but may now consider 2x2 square just to ensure they're solid. I'll look at triangulating a piece too. 2. My lid will only have a yakima rack system so front mounted lid sounds like a winner. Thanks!

Sorry, I'll clarify. 1. The piece above the tailgate on the back. 2. I was asking if you think a lid could be attached to the front wall and pivot up and forward. If I build mine without that cross piece and a lid that opens forward it seems it would be easier to access stuff in the trailer.

Great build! I'm in the design stage and your project is hugely helpful. Couple of questions: 1. Is the cross piece in the back necessary? I'm considering removing it if not structurally required. 2. Any issue with the top opening forward, with the hinge on the front? Again, all great info...
