    Yeah it was the brake proportion valve. Not the clutch. I had to just have it bypassed new ones were really hard to find... Never did find one just heard talk of them. They are apparently known for being scares an costly.

    It was the master cylinder on the clutch. Had it replaced today. I had the proportion valve bypassed also so no more fluid leak.

    Ok thanks for the advice. The clutch catches about midway through the stroke. It has trouble going into 3,5 & reverse. It's not at all undrivabe just a bit annoying at times.

    im new to site, so may be doing this wrong. I have a question. im having some trouble when shifting gears in my 86 pickup 4x4 any ideas on how to repair? i.e. what parts to buy? what are the correct brands? what should I expect to pay?
