New guy here. I have been lurking for about a month or so after finding this site, after the wife said she would like to get a Sportsmobile-ish rig for camping. In my search I found an '02 E-350 EB Quigley V-10 passenger van. It is an ex-cop van (still has the shotgun rack in it) and has just under 100K miles on it. I looked at it Saturday and it is very clean. I crawled under it and poked and prodded and it is very solid, no rust to speak of, body is solid. Found no wet spots indicating leaks and it drove very well. The dealer is asking just under $16K. The salesman said they bought it at auction.
The interior is bare from the passenger seats back: original vinyl flooring, no seats, walls bare. There is a rear heater/ac unit (working) and a bunch of wires left from where they cut out the radio/emergency gear.
It seem s to be a good starting platform. Other than what I think is a high price for a 12 yr old van, and knowing that all cop cars have only 2 gas pedal positions (all the way up or all the way down) what should I be wary of?
Thanks,
