05+ Tacoma Dual Battery Trays..

I have searched here and mostly found custom builds for adding a second battery to my 05 Tacoma. Does anyone know of a kit that has everything ready to go including a tray? It seems finding the tray and is the biggest issue. I contacted Kodiak Industries via E-mail but still have not heard back, they were the only ones I could find that seem to have a full kit...

Yes I came across that as well, they do have a nice kit. I am very surprised that with the 05- Present Tacoma out on the 6th year now there is still not a lot of options out there for Dual Battery Kits...

I saw in a post that Columbia Overland was looking into making a kit (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52835&highlight=Dual+Battery). I was hoping to get something going here pretty quick being I am going to take my current battery (Sears Platinum) out and throw it into my DD, being that one is on its way out. I don't have an extra battery laying around if I need 2 new ones ya know...

Essentially we just need a newer truck to give us a couple of hours in the shop to work out the details and we should be able to get one turned out in about 3-4 weeks.

That being said, if anyone is in Central Oregon and wants to swing by for this we would likely "hook them up" for use of their truck for a bit.

This is true for the other model of Toyota's for which we don't have a kit for as well.

My passion is really into manufacturing and putting together products that aren't currently available on the market. This is essentially how we got started years, and several names, ago. Ultimately it's grown into what we are today, which I hope allows me the freedom to develop products at a much faster rate than I've been able to prior to opening up our retail location last summer. Additionally we're really eager to serve the Toyota market, our lead tech (slamunion on this board) drives a Tacoma and we're hoping to get a Toyota as a company vehicle sometimes in 2011.

Yes! I have a prototype battery box coming this week to try out on a customer's vehicle. I'll take some photos once we get it in. The Gen1 kit almost works, but we had to modify the top plate to make it work. It's a very tight fit but it looks like it'll work.

More too come in a few days...
