Curious, what is the black bit under the cabover section? Also, was there any damage that necessitated the rebuild (leaks, etc.) or was it just to update the rig?

hi Kirk, sorry I didn't realize responses here do not all make to email... I made up a kind of bra for the front of the cabover to save rock damage and keep rain at highway speed from migrating into the tent/front window area. I thought that water under that kind of pressure might find it's way past the velcro closures on the front screen/window and soak our bed. that would be a major drag... the bra slides into an aluminum channel across the top and velcros to the underside of the cabover. it works great ! plus with the addition of tent poles and a bit of line, it can be an awning.

hey Kirk, I forgot part B of your question. there was no damage to the camper, just several things that were low quality in the build. I replaced a lot of chipboard with stronger lighter prettier Baltic Birch (Finn Birch) plywood. a kind of old glue smell left along with the chipboard. nice and fresh in there now. Ken

this camper is made for a small or medium sized truck, but will fit a full sized truck with the addition of a suitable thickness pad, which I could make up for interested folks.
