15 inch wheels on a 3rd Gen 4Runner

With winter just now starting to come on in my area I'm really needing to get a set of some winter treads. I don't want to always be swapping the tires off of rims so I'm just going to get an extra set. I found a used set of 15x8 black steelies but I wasn't sure if there was something to be looking out for (BS,off set)? I know 3rd gens can run 15's but need to know if there is one specific size or not. Anyone know?

From what I gather it's just the limiteds that have the larger brakes and cannot fit them....But i've never read a whole thread dedicated to the topic so not 100% positive.

Not sure on the 4runner brakes but on my Tacoma that had stock 16's when I put 15" sleelies on it I got the Wheeler's ones and I only had room to slip a dime between the caliper and the back of the rim face. Maybe go check them out and see if you can pop a wheel off and see if it hit's anything...

if you have the 4cyl. you should be fine with 15's. the v6 tacos and runners have a larger rotor/caliper that will not fit 15's.
