18 months by camper van in the Americas

Sheila Doorley and Jimmy Bracken traveled from Chicago to Alaska, all the way down to Ushuaia, and up to Santos, Brazil before heading back to USA. They were on the road for 18 months, and drove 44,000 miles in a 1995 Airstream B190 (a converted Ford Econoline van).

Perfect story to show that what really matters is the going, not the how.
Sure they had to stick to paved roads, sure they had to have some minor work done along the way...but they went and are better for it.

I love gear, I love getting off the pavement, but I also see the value in just going and seeing what happens.
