Yes, cool vehicle, and obviously improperly labeled (probably the closest fit the seller found on ebay categories, but a Series LR would have been closer). Hard to imagine someone going through all the trouble to restore something like this, with little collectible value in the end. These Austin Champs had a leg up on Land-Rover in some aspects, and were notably ahead of their time with the independent suspension. But their bodies were steel and they were apparently notoriously rust-prone. Spare parts for these vehicles must be made of unobtainium... (looks nice though)

Yaaah, that is probably as impractical as it is cute!

My father was posted to London in 1950-51, and he brought back to the US a 1951 LHD Austin A-40. Just as cute....with those lit-up wings that would flip up in the B-pillar when you signaled left or right - just the thing to entrance me as a little kid.
